What kind of monster girl game would you like to see?
I have the VN elements done and also most of the basic mechanics. I should have the first demo out in a week for the next demo day in agdg. After that I'm making some more girls, but I also want to add some more gameplay beyond walking simulation, dialogue and sex scenes.
I don't want to make yet another monster girl game with farming and breeding.
I don't think I'll have enough girls/areas to support a combat based gameplay.
Anything else I can think of just feels like a cheap excuse for gameplay.

Do you guys have any ideas?

I'd suggest putting in some side goals like building different structures around the island.
Like maybe the girls all start off living in the jungle or something, but eventually you can make a small community on the island with all the girls.

Maybe doing different structures would increase the affection of different girls, like creating a well would increase everyone's affection, but give a big boost to the slime's since you're giving her ready access to pure water.
If you build a fishing hut then the cat girl would like you much more, and shit like that.

The first demo is pretty much 100% story mode.
I need something else to work on. AA2 system works because the game is based around customization. Instead of customization, I have actual characters, so a gameplay like AA2 would get old pretty quick.

Maybe when you find the girls they're somewhat feral or tribal and thus not very understanding of modern social norms, and through interaction and forced proximity with you they start to become civilized and act like normal people.

Like the girls wouldn't be able to speak very well if at all when you first meet them, but over the course of your play time they become more fluent in your language, and their personalities and depth become more clear to you.

Through the course of talking to them you learn about their experiences with strange things on the island, and start to experience things on your own.

Hell you don't even need to make it a main part of the game, just have it be things that could happen randomly, and that you'd only be able to piece together fully if you play for a decent amount of time.

That's a standard part of most games in this genre though.
If there are some girls here that know what's going on, then in my mind if they don't give me info when I start trying to piece things together all that means is they're intentionally hiding it from me.
