MWO question: What all earns you points at the end of the round? Is it just damage or do other things factor in (specifically covering allies in ECM).

I ask because I always seem to score consistently higher (200-500) when tromping around in the Trial Raven than I do in my (very few) actual owned mechs. I'm curious if its because apparently twin ERLL works for me or if its instead because the ECM is boosting my score?

I run something similar but with Artemis, 4ERML, extra ammo, BAP, TAG in the torso. You don't need the larges and as you saw the burn is way too long on em.

My last comment was specifically referring to the pulse laser. Reducing the size of the LRM launchers is simply a gameplay necessity for MWO because nothing works like the tabletop. Even the original Mad Cat wasn't a very well optimized mech; it was just one of the few Clan mechs that actually had full armor for its weight which made it stand out from the rest. Playing a pure Prime in MWO is just too much pain.

I'm consistently getting 500+ damage per game with the LRM 20's, and I did add the pulse laser in the middle. The only thing from the prime I don't have is the machineguns but fuck that lol. Extra tonnage went to double heatsinks to support the lasers

Remove your LRM 20's, and use Artemis LRM15's. 20's spread their damage out more. LRM15's fire faster, create less heat, and concentrae their damage better. Artemis helps them concentrate it even more, and all for less weight and critspace than LRM20s.

Do clan mechs get some survivability and damage bonuses in CW or something?

15 minutes before I was playing a CW match, I killed a guy in a timber wolf prime by coring him with 3x large pulse lasers within 20 seconds, a duel between him and me. He was running a gauss rifle + medium laser vomit build.

I end up against the same guy in CW in yet another duel situation, but this time he kills me within 10 seconds with the same setup.

And this repeats with all four of my mechs. I now know not to play CW, but still.

Pretty much all the OP mechs are freely available at this point. Just get a clan mech you'll be fine. Arctic Cheetah/Stormcrow/Timber Wolf/Dire Wolf are all great. I haven't tried out Ebon Jaguars or Summoners yet. Don't care for Gargoyles.

I used to play living legends a little and the coolest thing was going no mech, and that gun that killed mechs and jetpack..

Am I retarded in thinking MWO is living legends somehow licensed or something but they just didn't include that class?
