>What is Tree of Savior?
Tree of Savior is a new action MMORPG with a lot of classes and cute hats. IMC Games have shown an interest in an international release, and has begun testing the game in various other languages, including English and Japanese, even whilst the Korean version is still in testing. The game is currently in the beta phase, and not fully released.

Tree of Savior is somewhat unique in that the games translation is heavily supplemented by fan contributions provided at IMC's offical Github. Is this genius or laziness? It's both!
>Cosmetic Drop Locations
I'm anti social in game and one of my irl friends wants to play this game with me. Anyone got a spare key?
Okay, posting info from 29th Oct's kCBT patch.
Warlock has skills listed.
>Pole of Agony
We Dark-elemental mage now?
Warlock also has attributes, posting in a bit.
Did you bait me, /vg/? You said Highlander was easy mode, but I can't even do Chapel 1F efficiently.
Currently Sword1/Highlander2 and seeing all these mages and archers roflstomp the place while I slowly kill 10 mobs and have to rest for 40 goddamn minutes.
>Camera pans to the goddess
>Flicks back outside the bubble
I would if I found any hats
Has anyone on /vg/ reached the Royal mausoleum? I can't get any of the side quests on the 2F onwards for some reason. I checked and coublechecked that I did everything in the first floor. Now I am stumped because I can't get the side EXP from those quests, and everything is well over 10 levels above me.
First for standing on top of bosses to kill them
>brs advertising their shitty twitch channels in shouts
>brs pestering me in their monkey language expecting me to understand them
What the shit am i supposed to after great king gateway? i cant find the fucking place the quest marker wants me to go
Any level 70s want to go on some grindan adventures? I'm a level 70 barbarian myself.
>Be a cleric/priest, everyone needs a healer and you'll be needed everywhere
>Look for a party and never find one
>everyone soloing and clearing 5x faster than you
>left in the dust despite clocking over 24 hours since launch
>krivis is a great mobber
>zaibas aoe is tiny as hell and you have to waste a shitton of time luring shit into the electric field
>that's literally its only good damaging attack with a 30s cd to boot
You need hoplite for 1 handed spears
But I have no clue why you would want to use 1 handers over 2 handers. Cata's are fast as balls and dont need shields. Plus Cata's abilities benefit most from high damage weapons.
Dark elemental Wizard class confirmed.
Enhance Attributes for Pole of Agony, Invocation, Mastema and Dark Theurge.
>+1% damage per attribute level.
Warlock: Dark Attack
>Dark-elemental attack damage on enemies will increase by 1% per attribute level.
Pole of Agony: Duration
>The remaining enemy effect of [Pole of Agony] increases by 0.4 second per attribute level.
>If the caster of [Invocation] is near the summoned spirits, darkness property damage increases by 10% per attribute level.
Invocation: Double Chance
>[Invocation] has a chance to produce two evil spirits with a 2% chance per attribute level.
Dark Theurge: Shadow
>When an enemy is attacked with [Dark Theurge], there is a 1% chance per attribute level to inflict Darkness for 10 seconds.
Mastema: Reduced Threat
>The threat generated by damaging enemies with [Mastema] is reduced by 1% per attribute level.
Checking to see if there's anything else I missed.
There is a shit ton of NPCs everywhere on all the floors that I found, but I couldn't activate any of those quests. I'd assume they all depend on a single quest I haven't found yet.
Those quests are also listed on the tosbase site, but that list only has the text, not any markers or locations.
Why the hell isn't this recipe showing up in the crafting menu?
Oh, okay. Odd. I explored the entire Mausoleum but I don't know any way to activate those quests.
The bosses on 5F are doable, though, although my damage skills stopped working on Rexipher after like 25% HP for some reason.

>MA CARTAR STROKE
Why dont you go get a stroke. If you're going hoplite you're doing it for a DPS/defense hybrid unlike Highlander/Barbarian which is just pure DPS.
And since Peltasta gives you some of the best defense skills and a taunt even as C1 it makes sense he would pick that up over highlander, not to mention he will get most of his damage from his hoplite skills which will shit all over a c1 highlander anyway once he gets c3 hoplite.
Yes, Peltastas are clearly DPS Healers.
>choice between Pelt and Highlander
>swords users understand Pelt is for defense, highlander for damage
>choice between ranger and QS
>archers cant figure out that QS is for defence, ranger is for damage
>surprised when they deal no fucking damage
What the fuck is wrong with you people. QS obviously exists for people who want to go something like Sapper by giving you more defense so you can put down your traps.

Can someone confirm, if picking Hoplite after peltasta allows you to wield 2h swords?
Some anon said you can cast Hoplite skills with 2h swords, but I'd like to know if the actual 2h proficiency si gain from Hoplite, or you need ot be highlander before Hoplite to wield 2h swords.
Its a fine build, although you lose out on taunt by not taking a level in Peltasta (couldnt you do sword2 > peltasta 1 > hoplite 3?). make sure you get all the traits though that give 1% per buff level. Adds up to a lot of damage.
There is a quest on one of the maps leading up to the mausoleum. It'll give you a book that should allow you to do the quests in there.
I forget which map, but the same on that woman gets kidnapped.
How the hell do you add people to a party without having them right next to you? Isn't there some sort of function that lets you add people just by entering their name? I've been looking over this damn party UI and I can't find it.
how the fuck am i supposed to enter the mausoleum
Peltasta also gives block. I guess it's worth it after all. Gonna miss those 5 extra points into Concentrate and Gung Ho tough.
>hit rank 3
>ice wall/pressure is ok
>pressure somehow doesn't do damage once in every 4 hits
Like, I'll have 150 SP and it'll still drain it in ticks, but it doesn't do any damage sometimes. Not like how it drains you're mana when you don't have enough to even use it
Featherfoot also got some attributes listed.
Enhance attributes for Blood Bath, Blood Sucking, Bone Pointing and Ngadhundi.
>+1% damage per attribute level.
Featherfoot: HP Supply Improvement
>The amount of HP absorbed by [Blood Bath] and [Blood Sucking] increases by 1.
Featherfoot: SP Supply Improvement
>The amount of SP absorbed by [Blood Bath] and [Blood Sucking] increases by 1.
Bone Pointing: Summoning Time
>The summoning time of [Bone Pointing] increases by 1 second per attribute level.
Kurdaitcha: Additional Damage
>Enemies can take twice as much damage from [Kurdaitcha] at a 2% chance per attribute level.
Levitation: Nullify Physical Damage
>Whilst [Levitation] is active, there is a 1.5% chance per attribute level to nullify physical damage inflicted by the enemy.
I wonder if they're pushing Featherfoot to Rank 7 instead of Sage.
Animation data for Featherfoot skills found, and particle data found for Musketeer and Featherfoot skills.
this is absolutely haram
Quests have level requirements? Since when?
I don't have the book anymore. Immediately after entering the 2F I did get one quest, the one that you had to protect the 4 lanterns from attacking monsters. I failed it once, then succeeded.
Could that have broken it?
I am looking at the quest list, and I know which quest it is. I've done it alright.
I'm not an archer but Kneeling Shot seems pretty okay to me. All the fucking spongy bosses turn into autoattack endurance tests anyway, so you might as well take the autoattack buff.
It'll be useless at high levels where you have 4k SP to spam skills all day anyway, but that's what skill resets are for.
you can use stabbing and pierce witha 2h sword
and it does hella damages
2 skills. Out of 7. Of which the other 5 are far better for damage.
No fucking wonder you people are having such a shit time leveling, you are mixing shit that was never made to be mixed.
Some more info on Party Quests added in the kCBT patch today.
There's a new NPC in the Fedimian Mercenary Post who gives an actual Party Quest, as seen in the picture.
Checking what the quest entails. It's Level 100 and probably scales similarly to Party Missions.
Seems like they want the party to collect a lot of quest drops.
is going peltasta>barbarian2>corsair2 a bad idea?
I already picked peltasta and nearing next class change, didn't realize getting decent 2h spears would take a long time till I watched the market.
Where is that quest line's starting NPC?
Why is enchanting so expensive? It cost me 150k to get this just to +5.
>Sword 2 gives two damage buffs that are massive for Hoplite as well as a buff that stops interruptions for your main damage dealer
>Pelt gives you taunt and block, your bread and butter for a Hoplite who wants to offtank
>or you can take highlander. For 1 skill. That deals shit all damage the moment you become a Hoplite and will force you to switch weapons all the time to use it AND break all your spear buffs the moment you do.
You should be able to figure this out yourself.
Cross guard is a gimped block, Crown is just a pathetic skill and Wagon wheel deals no damage.
It is literally just gimping yourself for 1 ability that is only good between the 20 to 40 level range.
Highlander only becomes useful in of itself once you hit C2 and C3 and can actually use it how its supposed to be used.
I know I sound salty over all this but its only because I picked highlander and im still kicking myself over it.
That's a Field Boss.
They respawn every 4 hours after death. If they can spawn on different floors in a field dungeon (i.e. Crystal Mines F2 and F3), if it spawns on one map, the next spawn will be on the other map.
Anyone just starting a new character or anything and want to
group up? I'm a cleric. Just starting!
So we're nearing the 48 hour mark,
The thing is that you probably aren't going to be using those Highlander skills later anyway.
Whereas the +25% MHP on Swoosh, the stun/knockdown on Umbo, and the various passive attributes from Peltasta never stop being godly.
I know, I was just correcting the fact that all Highlander skills except Cross Guard can be used with any weapon.
Peltasta is the better choice for Hoplite by far. I still used Umbo Blow and Rim Blow way before I reached R5 and Corsair on kCBT3.
lvl 65 barb
1 hit killing everything with cartar/cleave/stun skill with a doggy face on skill icon
Remember to give a like to every Bokor you see!
Their instincts tell them living shouldn't hurt this much but they keep on going.
they have literally 0 useful skills and depend 100% on a level 5 Krivis's zaibas to do any damage, all the way up to lv80
They must pay to the Jew gods as their attributes cost 67k per level
So remember to support them whenever you can~
fastest way to level. do it 5 times everyday, it's a nice boost.
lv65, bokor lv10. only 5 more class levels of pure suffering
Level 102 Wugushi
going to sleep so I can grind to 106 tomorrow
>tired of being alone
>plonk a bonfire down and wait for people to start gathering with the intention of talking to them and inviting them to my party
>literally every single one is 110% BR
>form their own groups and run off without me
When we can start PvPing?
literally im just grinding with that objective
A real concern now. Everything is fine, we are leveling our first chars but what will happen when we want to make an alt? We'll have to go all the way throught the same maps and quests. This themed park progression will just hurt the game in the long run unless they change the leveling system before releasing the game. I know the RO talk is getting old but at least there we could start in different cities and choose our paths from there. Here in ToS is corridor1 into Klaipeda, into corridor2, into corridor3, etc.
No, I didn't want to actively waste 5 points in a shit skill.
It's only redeeming feature is the Evasion buff, which is reduced thanks to Finestra. And even if the DEF increase is a lot early, it's not worth it unless you go 10 points or more.
I think this is it here, its full of level 102 dudes and crystals
If I wanted to make a tank, but currently had no party/group to support. How should I distribute my stats to ease the slog? Something like 3:2 STR>CON and the occasional Dex dip?
Word on the street says next week
>tabbing out to shit post on tosg
>die and lose all my gems
>a tank cant go str/dex
>dex isnt a mitigation stat
This general is filled with the worst retards.
I just did it, it wasn't hard.
I jumped around to avoid his attacks, didn't even have to use a potion. I had Concentrate and Gung Ho both on level 10, and Restrain on level 5, with the Slow attribute.
Should I take Highlander as Rank 2, or Peltasta?
Is there a weapon swap attribute I can learn along the way to make Peltasta's shieldskills useful while still allowing me to swap and take use of the 1h Rapier-no-shield damage boost?
Anyone know how to get past the Activate Obelisk quest if you can't interact with the alter? Game is bugged or some shit and I can't progress past this point because I can't interact with the alter
I for one maxed Guardian since Rim Blow doesn't have any useful attributes. Finestra is only a flat reduction versus Guardian's percentage buff, so depending on base stats and/or the calculation order Guardian should still be useful.
Sure, but you'll be doing the same maps still. You get no exp for defeating much higher level monsters, so you are stuck in your level maps. Unless there are some low level areas somewhere else in the world map, you'll be doing pratically the same progression with every character
What level should I be by the time I enter Tenet Chapel? Low 30s right now, probably won't gain more than 1-2 levels finishing quests outside.
still have all my exp cards, was trying to save them for when I need free exp badly
After a super rough past 2 days of nothing but exams I've finally got time to play, only level ~30 atm.
Honestly I don't really know, I'm not at that point of decision and it's mostly therorycrafting right now, I just got to chapel and I don't know how partying works. I would ideally want to go more defensive and just have the other people in the party do the damage, but I don't know the reality of it.
Speaking of parties, someone said when I get around the Chapel, that is the point where partying has a distinct advantage, how the fuck do I even party with other people in my area? The party search tool seems really bad, since I can't filter parties to area.
Simply grip the weapon with both hands.
If anyone's just starting we could
set up some funand level up in game! I was thinking of being a hopliteor something. [email protected]
what's the best route to reach Corsair?
I'm debating between barb2 and hoplite2
Hoplite gives Finestra which is sweet and has great attacks, but what about barb? Does it have sinergy with Corsair at all?
Reminder that if you see anyone sitting on one of the benches in town, you should sit next to them!
Can someone explain to me why they have level -100 areas sandwiched between level 100+ areas? Like a level 60 area past a bunch of level 100+ areas. I tried to get there, but it looks like the quest/story progression is keeping me from it. So can someone explain why they would even do this since you can't get there to level anyway? Do you get ported there later on or something? Only level 43 now.
>normie friends tell me to go to Laima
>yesterday we're having tons of fun in party, get all the way to level 30.
>"Sorry man I got stuff to do."
>"I'll be on a bit." Never comes on.
>didn't do anything today but craft cute goat horns and some armor. made 0 progress
You guys were right, why didn't I listen? My normie friends ditched me and now I'm on a server with no /vg/.
Guardian's good for a tanking focus, though a second attack was a lot better for my build since it wasn't focusing on tanking.
Rim Blow is very useful for swarms and positioning, and can one shot enemies.
Arguably, you can leave it at 1 point but I also used Gungho and you can't have both Guardian and Gungho on.
Just reroll on Gabija.
I'm having a blast as an Archer
Ranger fixes your mobbing abilities. SP costs can be painful. It doesn't deal well with bosses though Wugushi fixed that for me.
Try going to Gitis Settlement Area above Klaipeda (Level 69) and then Mausoleum Construction Building in Tiltas Valley to grind.
The areas above Klaipeda are great optional maps for quests, I'd highly recommend doing them all.
Someone get in touch with IMC and propose that they stop making new fucking areas and work on fixing these boring classes, and their clusterfuck of skills, fix the chat and buddy system, add guilds, and work on the core game. I mean seriously, jesus christ. That map is amazing, I want to explore all these areas and listen to the music, but this shit is getting tiresome and I'm only level 40.
the only basic attack buffs before Corsair I see are from Swordsman, and from Barbarian Warcry and Frenzy and well the crit rate form Finestra.
But I could be missing something form the attributes...
It got tiresome because you're level 40. The game takes a turn to the worse when you reach the chapel and stop receiving enough exp cards on quests to get by without mindless grinding.
Get some points into spr and a few in con or you go oom faster than a premature ejaculator and you'll die in big brawls. Also being 100% a heal bitch is fucking useless unless you have a fixed group.
So what should I do past this? I planned to go Elementalist but I might end up just going Necro.
I don't care about support shit really I just want to do big numbers.
Reminder that if you don't own a pair of these babies, you're a scrub.
>I'm having a blast as an Archer Ranger fixes your mobbing abilities. SP costs can be painful. It doesn't deal well with bosses though Wugushi fixed that for me.
Sounds good, do you have a build recommendation? I never even considered making an archer before.
I'm going Cryo 1 Psycho 2 since ice wall damage doesnt scale with levels but pressure does. It's not big enough to fully trap the boss, but the AI is so dumb it works most of the time. Also, I like psycho more than Cyro c2/3
Webm of me doing a mediocre swap
>almost 70 levels of nothing but fucking crossbows and swords from bosses
Wake me up from this nightmare.
I notice a lot of builds on the skill simulator's listed public builds have certain ranks set up that they only spent like 5 points at Rank 3, and then spend the other 10points of rank3 on their rank4 skills. Is this even possible, if you're willing to suffer not spending skill points until you rank up? Or is this just a stupid thing people are doing because the skill sim lets you even though the game doesn't?
Anyone else disconnected and can't go back in? Just click Start Game and nothing happens
Yeah, it's pretty funny. Got invited to a group as highlander in chapel for the bosses. My group is attacking the boss and using various skills, the hp bars are barely going down. I walk up and use my skill twice, 2 huge chunks of HP explode out of its ass and it only has a sliver of HP left. I don't know how to feel about this. I just picked highlander at random, but it appears that it's the most OP class right now.
The build I'm going is Archer > Ranger C2 > Wugushi C2 > Schwarzer Reiter.
These are all the classes that interest me in the tree and they luckily all synergise nicely.
Not all point allocated in SR since I don't know which skills to prioritise yet.
It's getting really tiresome with how often I have to restart because I won't actually enter a new area.
>Bothering to upgrade them
I hope the next OP gear piece is plate.
Lot's of casual play due to work and fighting with bugs, have no idea how I'm still top 5-7% on points
Third floor of the mines.
>20 gems dropped
>lost all my gems
so ive gone swordsman>highlander C1>hoplite C1 with the intention of using a 2h spear and jumping around like a maniac
of course i learned too late that to use 2h spear you need to go cataphract
my question is, is this build salvagable? should i just go full cataphract? is there another path i should take? dont really feel like playing a hoplite with spear/shield
Thats because most people are utter retards and fucking up their classes so badly early on.
Highlander is pleb tier easy when you get it. But it fades out very quickly once you reach higher circles.
Still number 1 on Gabija. But I'm so fucking tired I might actually need to sleep.
>so ive gone swordsman>highlander C1>hoplite C1 with the intention of using a 2h spear and jumping around like a maniac
You're utterly fucked
Should have just done Sword3 if you just wanted to do full Cata.
I've stolen yellow, white and blue mobs from people. It's just too juicy to ignore.
>Get home from work
>Wanted to play a bit since I won't get to for the next few days
>But it fades out very quickly once you reach higher circles.
I'm still going c3 in it followed by c2 Squire, so no real fucks given. Picked Highlander because the skills looked cool and I like swords, not because it's OP
Not that guy, but really? Should I just completely reset my character and go DPS? I wanted to go squire, and seeing as they bring a lot of support, I was thinking going full blown support would be best.
I can't even imagine how much this guy played. I started on Gajiba as soon as the servers went up and that was after playing on the other servers for 3 hours. And I didn't sleep until the next night like 24 hours later and I felt like a disgusting piece of shit so I went to class today and did stuff. That guy must have shat in his pants to keep playing.
Lvl 54 Priest, i tought it was all going to be laughs and parties but i was so fucking wrong.
