How the fuck do I play WHM? I'm levelling it up right now, and I'm having a really hard time healing the HW dungeons. When I was leveling SCH, I could tell the tank to pull two packs, stay in cleric stance half the time while dpsing while my fairy heals and soil/adlo mitigates damage without a single problem. And that was with nothing but quest gear and i110 pieces. Now, with 55/57 shit,I struggle to keep my parties up in Aery/Vault. I don't have my 52-56 skills yet, by the way. I'll get those when I'm 58.

A lot of well known groups just got on the persons account, like CL did back in FCoB when T13 was a pain in the ass to 7 man. That or you just revive the buyer and school them on the mechanics they have to do like T12. The new WHM skills are pretty useful, get them nao! Asylum works great with big pulls, and Assize gives enough mana to allow you to land another Holy.

After the tank has picked the mobs, Divine Seal-> Regen->Asylum/Eye4Eye; Then Aero3->Swiftcast->Holy->Assize->Holy 3 or 4 times until you need to heal again. If the party is competent enough the mobs should be dead by now and your mp bellow 40%. Be conservative so you can have enough mp for the next pull without making the party wait for you.

Well, I've leveled all of them at a decent level, I find that SCH is a lazy healer (with the fairy) and AST feels nicer to play. WHM feels like a huge responsibility with solo healing and all that I'm not sure I could handle as a newbie healer.

AST is essentially WHM with a RNG buff gimmick and worse MP management (nothing too crippling, but nothing too reliable either). I personally find it to be more fun than WHM as you have to think of what to do with each buff and think ahead on a gamble. Would this buff be better suited for this player in my party, or would it be better to Royal Road it? Will this player make the most of this buff? These are the kind of questions I ask myself when I run content on my AST.

WHM to me is more simplified yet more reliable in certain aspects: better AoE attacks and heals, more reliable MP sustainability, and does what it sets out to do. the only questions I find myself asking when I play WHM are the following: would I be able to get off a few Holy casts? Would I be able to sustain some DPS and healing without going crazy with spending MP? Simpler questions aside from the basic ones any healer should know (i.e. when and how long can I DPS before I have to heal?).

RS: 0, 180, 360, 540, etc.

I haven't really seen any MCH save their cds for wildfires so far, mostly due to the fact that they line up pretty well to where the occasional wildfire is gigantic, while every other wildfire at least has RF + HE + BFB

it's just way too many cooldowns that you're sitting on to plan them all around wildfire

Energy drain in your lowest potency use of aetherflow only use it when you need a boost of mana, you need to kill something that's low health and it's an oh shit moment or you need to be in dread trance RIGHT FUCKING NOW. You'll know when the last two situations arise.

typically you want all your aetherflow to go into fester, but iirc the summoner opener lines dreadwyrm trance and raging strikes up so you get two festers, deathflare, and a full reapply on dots with DW + RS

so you want to use one stack on painflare during your opener to get into dreadwyrm asap because it fucks that timing up and you're sitting on RS for too long if you use your first 3 stacks on 3 festers.

the best way to look at it timings wise is like

If you sit on reload/reass/ricochet before your 2nd wildfire, you hold them for 50% of their CD.
If you sit on hypercharge until your 3rd, 50%

If you sit on your 90s buffs until your 2nd hypercharge, that's 1/3 of their CD and you'll have to hold RS for it to be up for your 3rd wildfire, and you'd have to hold your 60s CDs as well.

It's just a lot of bullshit and no gain at all.

Regarding Reload/Quick Reload, when do you guys tend to pop those? I'm currently popping them on the last part of my combo to buff Clean Shot's damage up. a cleaner shot with an ammo stack is 200 + 20 potency, while a split shot with ammo is 140 + 20 + guaranteed slug shot proc

you should ALWAYS use ammo for the procs because the bonus potency you get from the ammo is the same no matter what, whether you used that last stack of ammo on a hot shot, a lead shot or a cleaner shot.
