I preferred Medieval 2 to be utterly frank. Probably spent hundreds of hours on the base game and thousands among various mods.

Warhammer feels like an arcade game in comparison.

eh, I just looked. It's only $10 on steam. Maybe if they see that Rome 1 is still making money they'll go back and try and figure out why that's still good after all this time and make Med III amazing like Rome II should've been.
