Mega64 has talked about leaving YouTube and uploading their own videos on their site. Lack of views and negative responses seem to be the reason.

They are failing to meet their Patreon milestones which has scared away many loyal fans.

Besides all these factoids, the largest concern comes from the members of Mega64 itself.

Garret's lack of screen-time has been contributed to some form of cancer. Not much is known ATM besides tidbits from his Poorly Played Streams. This is why Kevin Bushong was announced as the new member due to concerns of extended hospital time.

Derrick has expressed multiple times of his lack of interest in the Mega64 project and may possibly be the first member retiring.
