>tfw you'll never get to walk back from school and play MS with your friends over Skype all day
man that when i was like 15-16 which was around 5 years ago, back when MS was good
>tfw you'll never hear the Hensis bgm as you spam the shit out of your shitty offers on the free market
You had me until this. You didn't even play pre-Big Bang, did you OP?
>tfw you actually spent $50 dollars on a maplestory wedding
>tfw never played Runescape, Maplestory, or Ragnarok Online
>I had fun
roleplayingas an iksar on Everquest 2.
I've recently gotten back into the game as I wait for Next and it's depressing how empty it's gotten. Maybe I'll just stick with WoW.
Anyone remember stealing peoples' items by telling them to drop their items very far away from you, and then holding the top of your game's bar so that they couldn't see you move, then walk up to them and nab their shit?
Do you guys want to play again ?
I got them nostalgia feelins
As someone who has played it recently, it is not at all the same. Kind of disgusting actually. You can get to level 100 in like 10 hours of play time. Also they lowered the 3rd job advancement level to 60 and the 4th job advancement to 100.
>tfw you'll never experience the 00'' again with your 3rd grade friends
I recently started play again, the whole experience felt weird. Everything was so familiar but so different. I ended up getting to around level 40, rather quickly, and I swear I haven't said a single thing to anyone, nor has anyone said anything to me. The game feels like it's all cluttered with useless shit on the screen, and the community feels so reserved and cold. Also, you need to level 50 to do the Ludi PQ, fuck that.
Maplestory is a prime example of the casualization process.
>Game starts out as a grindy korean MMO that people love for the charm, community, and sense of accomplishment that hard grinding brings.
>people begin trying to get their more casual friends to play
>"Wow this game is cool... but It's a little grindy"
>EXP curve change
>"Awesome! Let me tell my friends to come play"
>"Wow this game is cool... but it's a little grindy"
>"Awesome! Let me tell my friends..."
It does suck ass according to /msg/, but I'm still going to try it out just to let it sink in directly.
It's true. Now there are storyline quests that give a fuckload of EXP like any other themepark MMO and you don't have to cooperate with anyone to do them.
I loved Ludi PQ and I remember being so fucking hyped for Orbis PQ. That PQ totally lived up to the hype and was shit tons of fun with guildies.
Meso explosion doesn't work with dropped mesos anymore. Only pickpocketed and unlooted mesos
>try to golby like all the cool kids
>lag a little bit
>raped by fish
>lose money and exp
Fuck that noise.
>70-100 were cake
Fuck no, at least not when I played.
71 was when you couldn't do Orbis PQ anymore and everything stopped being fun and you had to agonizingly grind on mobs in maps with shitty layouts. I was an Ice Wizard and had to go where the fire dogs were in either El Nath or Korean Town and those maps both had lava everywhere which made it annoying to traverse the map and kill things at a decent pace.
I also remember getting like .02% experience per kill or something ridiculous. When I finally quit, I was only Level 88.
I found out recently that my best friend since middle school has a statue of him as one of the first 10 players to hit level 200 on one of the servers. I think he was on Khadia.
PQ TIER LIST
Amoria PQ (would be higher but you needed to get married to participate)
Whatever other PQs came out after Moonbunny and Pirate, they were probably shit too.
>Fangblade always dressed like a templar knight
>never took off his helmet
He was so much more based than that NX whore Tiger.
>implying 90% of party leads couldn't tell when a scout came out.
>implying that faggot who took like 10 minutes to get tickets from gators and you ended up kicking him didn't go and use you as a track
>1 party member DCs
I-it's okay... We can still do it with 3
>Another begins walking in place
