>that game you want so bad
>it doesn't exist
What's her name, /v/?
Redwood Falls. if they fixed the terrible fucking framerate from the demo and the fact that shotgun seemed to have almost unlimitted ammo it would be a neat game. I always wanted to play open world horror game with decision making.
I had an idea a while back for a game I called "ceiling" where the idea is that it's a basic 3rd person puzzle adventure game, except the world is flipped so that the sky is on the bottom and the ground is on top, and all the enemies are pulled towards the "earth" while the player character has to hold on to trees and buildings and shit in order to not fall into the sky.
A Dune universe mod for Crusader Kings 2.
Fuck off, faggots.
Game I want exists.
It has taken over my life.
since it is an mmo/arpg hybrid
I remember thinking in my game of dota that I need another game. I wanted an RPG that isn't set in a fantasy bullshit land and tolkien ripoff.
Find Marvel Heroes. It plays on my nostalgia for marvel characters that I grew up watching cartoons and has Diablo gameplay and hooks like dota.
I waste so much time on it.
>Shadow of Rome 2
>Evil Genius 2
>Space Channel 5 Part 3
>Dark Messiah Might & Magic 2
>Freedom Force 2
>Alpha Protocol remake or 2
>Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel without a Pulse 2
>Leisure Suit Larry Magna Cum Laude Point & Click Adventure Adition without that fucking awful minigames
>A proper version of Slave Maker
Why should i even fucking bother to live if nothing good ever fucking happen
A good MMO that isn't about mindlessly facerolling your keyboard until max level then raid.
What bugs me is that different MMOs all have bits and pieces of what I want that would be so amazing if they got put together.
a bethesda type star wars rpg. i know they're getting shit on for fallout 4, as they should, and skyrim was shit, BUT, i always wanted a non-mmo star wars game where you pick your race, customize your character and go off and do side quests and interact with niggas on various planets and shit. I know people are going to say b-but thats Kotor 1-2 anon!
nah thats not what i want, i want a game where i can freely explore the galaxy and swing a lightsaber as a would a sword in the elder scrolls, none of this gay fucking dragon age with a space theme shit bioware has been shitting out. i want tes: tatooine pretty much.
Something like Bad Mojo, but with actual gameplay, and modern graphics.
That actually sounds pretty good.
>you have 2 minutes to steal and destroy as much shit as possible
>you use the shit you steal to upgrade your crew
>if you take too long you have to fight back sort of like m&b
>sometimes there's an ambush or attack from rivals to keep you on your toes
The game I want doesn't exist, nor does it have a name, and can't possibly exist for at least another 40 years.
>high-quality realistic or cartooney, doesn't matter.
>3-d first person super RPG
>It's VR and features skill hyper moddable skill trees, allowing you to do literally anything if you work hard enough at it.
>Summoner who spawns plants to kill their enemy? Sure.
>Big dude with a club and skin as tough as steel? Sure.
>Features character-created, instanced dungeons in addition to regular dungeoneering.
>Essentially a digital world where literally anything you can think of is possible with enough thought.
I can keep dreaming, I guess.
all i want in life is an open world(s) rpg where you're a planeswalker dicking around the multiverse. It would get updates for new sets.
An open world tell tales game. Tales from the Borderlands was sooooooo fucking good, but i'd rather make my own character and be able to move freely and shit. why don't they just write for other companies? Mass effect isn't even that bad, but bioware has hack fucking writers, same deal with Fo4 and bethesda, just make your damn games and get telltale to do the story, dialogue and character design. fuck, that'd be what saves vidya honestly.
exactly what I thought of when I saw the OP
An open-world sandbox where you play as a serial killer and can take out several targets while evading law enforcement in a completely freeform manner while also maintaining a social life. Not like Hitman, not like GTA, more personal and psychopath-ish.
Castlevania: SotN but with a randomly generated castle and bigger variety of items/weapons
>a randomly generated castle
Why on earth would you want something like that? I admit it worked on Rogue Legacy, but Castlevania has always been about hand crafted stuff.
No More Heroes 3
FFXII for smartphones
An epic sambox openworld platformer with multiple gender options drawn in 16bit style where the focus is to kill eveyone and take their souls with new game + and new game - options and triple layer audio also an option to convert the entire game into an earthboundlike rougelike sim
I started playing the first one some time ago. When does it get good?
I'm at like the second or third mission and the place I have to get to is full of radiations.
I guess I'm retarded but I don't see what the fuss is about.
I want a new Advance Wars so badly.
Use your FE Waifu dollars, I don't care, just bring back AW.
I don't know about other anon but I've always been bored by turnbased games. It especially bugs me when I see my character clearly jams a sword into the enemies torso and a bit of text appears before their head saying "missed". Like the fuck you mean missed, I hit that nigga, why am I waiting my turn to attack, this is dumb fuck this shit, making me unable to freely move around and attack or dodge with my own will bullshit
I want too many games and some of them do exist like Gravity Rush 2
But a new
New Valkyria Chronicles
New King's Field
Freedom Fighters 2
Good Silent Hill Clone (Silent Hill is dead)
All sound pretty great
If you never heard of Rouge Legacy check it out.
Darksiders was fun even if it was basically a more visceral Zelda game. 2 was a good step forward in terms of gameplay, but could've been better. 3 could've done everything right.
I was just going to post something like that
>tfw people shit on Days of Ruin but you enjoyed it for being more balanced than the previous games
depends on your definition of good really. if you mean easier, then once you complete the first lab then that is when. if you mean overall never, because STALKER isn't good by your normal jurisdictions.
An extreme surival game where you support and build a tribe in south America. You have to hunt for food, build weapons and find water. Eventually you could start warring with other tribes or build a relationship among them. Warring has consequences as every memeber of your tribe plays a role. Battles would be rts style while hunting and foraging would be done third person
Why did Rare have to jerk us around with Nuts and Bolts man?
War of the Monsters 2, or any kaiju game really so long as it's well made.
There hasn't been a good giant monster game in over a decade.
So long as it's got some nice monster designs, good building physics destruction, and some fun scenarios I'd pay out the ass for it.
A game with actual scale of earth with medieval setting. Where you live is the location you start in game. Its best to work with people and build settlements and walled cities and castles , you choose what you want do be bandit or merchant or honorable knight . it would be cool to see what people would do and how land will be split up. More powerful groups controlling massive sections and maybe peace agreements to other lands. I want death to mean something so if you die you can't play for 5 days.
Was this game any good?
I just wanna play a proper sequel to Destroy All Monsters Melee
A Mario vs Donkey Kong game in the same vein as the first game and DK'94 instead of the other puzzle crap the 10 sequels became.
>where you live is the location you start
I guess I will start in the middle of nowhere, and there are going to be tribes around my location. No one is gonna develop a wheel until centuries later.
Nice game bro
A stealth game where you play as a ninja assassin in fuedal Japan with Chaos Theory or MGSV style gameplay.
You get to infiltrate cool locations like castles and monasteries with multiple paths and entrances and complete objectives in your own way, maybe using disguises or pure sneaking stealth or just using crazy ninja gadgets and swords skills, kill your targets with shit like poison or brutal executions.
Fuck man I just want a really good stealth game.
Non-shit Zombie Survival game.
And without a second of a doubt SWAT5.
Just a fucking port of SWAT3/4 with a little extra something on modern day engine would work. I'd buy that shit yesterday.
A finished MGSV that lived up to the expectations.
The sequel to this sonofabitch.
I poured so many hours into this one.....
Yeah, and it's unfortunately not that great.
Godzilla's model clips through everything, it gets repetitive really quickly, and fighting other monsters feels clunky because you can't move like in the old Gamecube/PS2 era Godzilla games.
There's also no local multiplayer. You have to play online if you want to play with a friend, which is real bullshit.
The idea of a negro horde around the Mississippi delta is rather enticing.
There's a CKII mod called After the End, which takes place in a feudal, post-apocalyptic North America. Would recommend.
>SMT x FE
>SMTV on a real console with 3D models
One is badly made anime while the other one will never happen on a console
>SMT x FE
>Shining Force 4
>A BETTER DC FIGHTING GAME
>Snk vs Capcom 3
Anon that game came out over a decade ago, and in my opinion we still have yet to have another game with it's god tier gameplay and controls. There were only 2 things holding ZoE2 back from being one of the best games ever. One is the hardware limitations which make things like framerate suffer. Two is the god-awful voice acting and off of that the translated script. Can you imagine how phenomenal it would be to have another ZoE game with the same gameplay but with those things fixed?
I loved online play, at least until hackers started appearing. Shit was annoying, seeing someone spawn an infantry unit and move it two spaces continually until it just captured your base in a single turn.
>It especially bugs me when I see my character clearly jams a sword into the enemies torso and a bit of text appears before their head saying "missed"
Meanwhile in Westernland people complain that RPGs aren't like Morrowind anymore.
A properly localized Wuxia MMO without a cash shop. Every single Wuxia MMO to date is either a quick cash grab with zero effort put into development, a confusing mess of gibberish that's barely translated let alone localized, or more commonly, both.
Chinaboos need video games too.
It can not have a name, as it does not exist.
Rape and pillage orc sim.
Burn the villages. Impregnate the women with strong orcs.
Beyond Good and Evil 2. Snippets here and there over the years, but no fruition. Got hyped for vid related a few years back.
Also, I'd like a Spyro game that felt like the original three.
It's not really a "game", but I always wanted a program that was like a Ereader, but you read the books in a house, and you could walk around the house and it was like a cabin I guess you could say, and it was snowing outside, and in the living room, there's this bookshelf (where you pick up one of your loaded in books) and a cute Anime girl sitting on the couch who tells you stuff every now and then like my girlfriend I wish I had, and you just read books in the cabin, while the fires crackling and it's snowing and your girlfriend tells you stuff.
Shogo 2. Although I think the recent trend of mechs and exo-skeletons in FPS makes up for that.
A more realistic girlfriend simulator than love plus
Warcraft 4 (a proper strategy game, not MMO shit)
Artificial Academy 3
Alpha Centauri 2 (no, BE doesn´t exist)
Battleships Forever 2
Distant Worlds sequel that isn´t another expansion.
and last but not least
Dora Fort with a better UI
40k: space marine style game, but vs tyranids. The enemy AI would be impeccable, using all biomass, including Imperial Guard, to make bridges and shit, make more nids from the dead.
A really good Vietnam FPS
No, Fortunate Son WON'T be in the soundtrack. The song is meant for the people at home to understand that the sons of politicians aren't made to fight like everyone else (like the members of CCR who wrote the song, who DID serve their country). A soldier hearing it has no meaning.
>listen to fortunate son
>it ain't me starts playing
>Play Vietnam War Game
>"Pereum... Pereeeum... Pereeeeeum... Pereeeeeeeum... DUN DUN!" starts playing
A good farm sim that isn't made by Natsume or Marvelous, also featuring cute animal girls.
A life simulator like sims but in a gta format, I want to be able to be a murder ( in the since that I stalk and kill someone in an alley or lure someone into my house and murder them and don't just get a wanted star ) or I could be a cop if I wanted and do traffic stops and things of that nature or become a drug addict and blow my brains out in a ditch somewhere
At least it's likely gonna happen eventually, anon.
May EA burn forever for what they did to the Tiberium universe.
Crimson Skies 2
NOT High Road To Simplification
But Crimson Skies 2. I want plane customization, I want pulpy goodness, I want zeppelins, I want alternate history, maybe even some weird ass alternate history jets. Just make Crimson Skies 2.
Duchess! Duchess! Kittens! Oh, Kittens!
>>Made by from software with both Miyazaki and Igarashi at the helm
D with a faster battle system like bloodborne or even faster
>>Huge castle to explore
>>Michiru Yamane composing
I want a game where you play as jesus who goes around saving mankind from various monsters and eldritch abominations. He uses different weapons and there's a massive upgrade system to his skills and weapons.
An open-world rpg (or mmorpg) Avatar game where you don't play as the avatar. Pick your element, which nation, etc. Develop friendships, fight baddies, buy stuff, earn money by working, whatever.
I'd even accept a DragonBall Z Xenoverse clone
So you too know that feel.
They're already making Deathwing, about 4-5 deathwing terminators clearing through a space hulk. I'm sure that if modding is allowed at all, you'll quickly find yourself on hive worlds and shrine worlds and all that cool shit.
Made by the same devs as E.Y.E
>40K game made by makers of E.Y.E
Oh wait, they actually did it, the fucking madmen.
Okay, A Zelda in the vein of Twilight Princess but with Zelda II-tier difficulty, I guess.
A real world sandbox political simulator with interesting gameplay, enforced (and fun) roleplay elements that allows the community to create and contextualize history. Ranks, kingdoms, continental trade guilds, uprisings and good autistic fun. Land split up naturally through player kingdoms working together. Set in the medieval ages to high renassiance, low fantasy if any.
This. Imagine some vagabond mercenary going around crushing bandit groups and getting notoriety, eventually knighted or made a noble by a player king thanking them for helping clear his lands out of crime
Undertale, but with monster girls. I'd love to genocide them all.
A sequel - or just a spiritual sequel - to Vagrant Story. With a streamlined RISK system that's a bit more difficult but less prone to abuse, a more robust and transparent crafting system, magic that's dark as fuck, and Sakimoto doing the OST.
A WWI flying ace era themed reboot of Star Fox.
Considering they did a fucking racing game and a god awful sort-of prequel on the psp, you'd think they'd do a proper sequel to explain why the fuck Jak is Mar.
Oh, there was that flying game as well, but that was terrible as well
>Implying I'm not buying the game
Buying it for Barry and this mother fucker.
No I want a game that's basically a SMT x FE version of Project Zone.
A Batman game with Arkham gameplay as the core, but with:
>All Gotham City. I don't mind if it's in quarantine or evacuated again, so in can drive the batmobile fast as shit.
-You still attack with X/square, but you can't jump superhumanly far. If you choose to attack someone very far, Batman will perform a sprint to get him.
-You still counterattack with Y/triangle, but if you are countering one enemy, others can still attack you, so you have to mind your distance and timing. Also, the window of time for pushing the counter button is shorter than the actual games.
-You can cancel your attacks and counters (but in a realistic way, not in midair), you can still stun with your cape.
-You should rely on all of your arsenal and habilities, because the enemy is better in defense now, can dodge or block some of your attacks if you only use X during all the battle, so you have to be unpredictable. They also attack like real criminals, throwing bricks and other small objects, performing tackles (as in AK) and flying kicks and shit.
-You must being silent, so you can't shoot the grapnel gun or any noisy gadget close to an enemy without being noticed.
-No gargoyles or shit like that in all the predator rooms, but because they actually are fun to use, can still be part of the first rooms and of the outsides.
-You can destroy and turn off the lights in some rooms, but some enemies have lanterns.
-If the main door of a place is open, you can use it, but doing so will get you killed. So, you must find a stealthy way to get in (like a vent or a window, which you must open silently).
-Less bullets and more batshit gadgets. Every time you have to use it, should feel diferent and be fun. Shouldn't be only for going from A to B either, that's what gliding is for.
>Detective shit (Riddler included)
-You should actually have to think here. They must put some hard puzzles.
Hire me, WB, i would work in this for free.
it kind of exists, even if in an abominable twisted form
>90s spy fiction with hints of cold war
>gameplay feels kinda reminiscent of the early Splinter Cells
>coop isn't the usual "run'n'gun*2"
>although made with coop in mind, it is perfectly playable alone. also no MP bullshit in any form
on the other hand it will need A LOT of polish before anyone can objectively justify that price tag. if anyone here was on the fence about getting it, don't. not even during a sale, unless they update it in a way that pretty much changes everything regarding models, textures, rigging and animations.
i still love it for the 90s atmosphere because i'm a sad fuck also i have a crush on the protagonist i need help
An open world DOAX game co-developed by Arika
a good, traditional final fantasy game that isn't a remake
>Medarots Musou or a game where I play as the Medabot and can customize it as I see fit a la Zatch Bell from PS2
I don't care if /v/ thinks I have shit taste, I want a game where I get to play as my medafu so bad. In a fun endearing way.
You guys are dumb. Obviously the tribes and shit would be built up based on player locations, so the big civilizations would sprout out of the biggest modern day cities. And you could always fuck off and travel the ocean too if you were gonna be a bitch about it.
Maui Mallard/Donald in Cold Shadow 2
Mega Man ZX3
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom 2
Pokemon mmo rpg for pc..
Play as a trainer and play as a pokemon at times
Train your pokemon in different ways just like the anime
Quit that four attack only and change battle style that in the anime
Anime and movie lore
Contest just like the anime
>Benimaru Itoh will die soon
>Nintendo will never release a game with his quirky designs
>Everyone that talked shit about Earthbound 64 is gonna bullshit pretend they always liked his work the day he croaks.
lupin the 3rd hitman clone
of course it'd be about stealing valuable shit instead of assassinating high-profile targets, but otherwise just straight up ripping off the "multiple viable approaches" and "hiding in plain sight" aspects of the hitman series
Some folks are born, made to wave the flag
Ooo, their red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the Chief"
Ooo, they point the cannon at you, Lord
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no
Some folks are born, silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, y'all
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yeah
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no
Some folks inherit star spangled eyes
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord
And when you ask 'em, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer "More! More! More!", y'all
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, one
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son, no, no, no starts playing
just checked the wikipedia page after remembering that i saw a trailer for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupin_the_3rd:_Treasure_of_the_Sorcerer_King on a ps2 demo disk
apparently it's the only one released in the US, there's other games listed as stealth games tho
kinda baffles me how i never noticed that i never heard of a Lupin game before while there's a shitton with a JP-only release
it could have been a master piece
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO UNDER, INTERPLAY WHY?
WHY DID YOU SELL THE FALLOUT IP TO BETHESDA, YOU KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO FUCK IT UP BUT YOU DID IT STILL
>Rougelike - FPS hybrid with realistic weapons (like Receiver or ARMA)
Sick of this shit. What you mean is you want an fps with procedural content and/or permadeath
If I could summarize my concept for a perfect game it'd be this.
A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.
An FPS that can hold more than 120 per map, has amazing team based gameplay, has good vehicle combat, and isn't super duper autistic "muh realism" like arma.
Also for PC
Not just here. Go look at all of the games on Steam with the roguelike tag.
Out of the 200~ games only a handful are actual roguelikes.
I blame garbage like Binding of Isaac and Rogue Legacy for perpetuating this bullshit.
A Fire Emblem Musou game would have been so much more fitting than "Hyrule Warriors", but Zelda's popularity killed any chances of that.
>Gotcha force 2
>You will never see any other game come close to the original gotcha force.
It was literally the best of everything.
The only shit parts were the story and voice acting. Which really didn't even matter.
Everything else was so perfect.
Jedi Knight 3
I don't even care about the watered down Battlefront and all those shitty prequel games. I just want a fun star wars game.
Just fuckin Kyle Katarn destroying shit with his lighsaber, fun force powers and equally fun weapons.
>mfw force pulling stormtroopers into close range then using the flak cannon to launch them across the map.
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generations. In English.
Sure, I know the story pretty much, but I can't abide slogging through that much rune and not reading the menus in a language I understand.
Man, I wouldn't have even cared if the voice acting was dog shit. I would have played it. And they probably could have done decent voice acting.
People would have bought plenty of it. It has an anime VN style intermission system, and turn based strategy RPG grid action.
It would have sold well with the "Atlus turn based strategy RPG" set.
Instead America is stuck with the (still good) but not as advanced GBA games.
But he was pretty much out of a job as soon as she dies right? So he was only really thinking about his future but I think it would have been the desperation and the greed that got to him in the end.
Actually, anything where controlling minions is the main mechanic
There is tons of people going "oh look muh game with necromancer" BUT IT IS JUST A FUCKING BLACK MAGE LOOKING FUCKING WIZARD
THERE IS NO SKELETONS, NOT EVEN GHOSTS TO TALK FUCK SHIT I WOULD EVEN SETTLE FOR A PHONE GAME
also that skeleton game from the risk of rain dev
I want the SMT X FE we were supposed to have.
Turn based map system on the field ala Fire Emblem, once you get into a battle, it uses a variation of Nocturne's press turn system.
>We'll never see Marth summoning demons to fuck up the neighboring kingdoms.
Are there any RPGs that aren't about saving the world, but instead it's about a group of people just fighting monsters to find treasure?
I want a Redline racing game. It would be really cool with different planets and everything.
>tfw if he had just kept on with what he was doing and never eavesdroped in the first place the madame would have left him in charge of the entire fortune anyway since the cats would have needed someone to still look after them.
He's more like a tragic villain then anything because it was his own greed that got the better of him. She knew well enough that he had looked after her for all those years so naturally she would have made sure that he would be payed in kind for the service that he had done so faithfully up until her eventual death.
anything on a current system supporting online duels.
An RPG about a Lightning Revenant fucking up other Sanctums in order to protect his own. It ends up inconveniencing everyone but his own group. Essentially an RPG where you play a heroic character, who commits blatantly dickish acts to preserve his own area. Not saving the world, just one place in particular.
There need to be more nonhuman RPGs that aren't furshit, in general. Unfortunately, the only way I'll ever get this kind of game is to make it myself.
I just want an action-adventure game with a lenghty and engaging storyline. Think about 40 hours.
>Then you get to the boss
>You slap his shit
>SURPRISE you ain't even gotten through half of the story
>A whole new world with the initial MC's kids or something
A true Medieval open-world sandbox game. With very low fantasy just to keep things interesting.
