Not video games, but I happened to watch the first episode of Blue Dragon while it was airing here where I live, not that interesting so I didn't follow it, but MC gets bullied and then recruited by this girl that laughs at him for wanting to join her adventure despite not knowing anything about her and possibly being his worst enemy. I played all of them, even Dragon Quarter, IMO 2 is the best of them, I'd rate them like this:

2 > 3 == 4 > 1

And 5 is on a league of its own, I wouldn't really call it a Breath of Fire, it was like a Survival Horror RPG, I never felt so much fear playing an RPG. I realized I don't fear zombie or ghosts in games, I fear having to redo shit because the save point was a fucking hour ago. I still completed it in one run and only really used the dragon powers in the last bosses.
