This time, I'm only interested in Nine. Discount Ragna can go eat a dick and who the fuck even wanted Hibiki? The guy even said that combat wasn't his forte in the fucking story just like Celica yet both are on the roster anyway.

Alpha 1, Mai Natsume, Kajun Faycott and maybe even Touya Kiriguri and E's all have more chances than Jubei at this point as well and Mai's the only one I'm actually rooting for because I want to see what she's actually capable of in the current time with her noname powers.

Yes, it's a fighting game franchise. The story is a huge ass clusterfuck, and pretty hard to just "sum up".

It's an anime fighting game. It's fun and there's lots of characters with unique gimmicks and mechanics.

It has a very long story mode you shouldn't care about.


So the setting is post-post-apocalyptic future magical Earth, which was ravaged by a monster from the future/another dimension after scientist-types discovered a portal to a dimension with quantum magic god energy. The monster called the Black Beast ruined everything and poisoned the world, but was stopped by Six Heroes, after one of the heroes who was a mage created a portable sucky version of magic for the rest of the muggles to use. Fast-forward like a hundred years and everyone lives in mountain top cities and everything runs on the sucky version of magic, which in turn is fueled by Black Beast poison. The cities are ruled over by an organization that regulates sucky magic, but since this is anime as fuck, the rulers of said organization are shady types doing bad things. One of those shady types is a gigantic asshole, and for reasons kind of unknown, he fucks up our protagonist as a kid and kidnaps his sister and cuts off his arm. So the kid inadavertantly gets a new arm courtesy of a vampire who watches over time because she's got a huge crush on him, which turns out to be the remnants of the Black Beast, and that gives him sucky magical powers, so he swears revenge on the organization and the asshole who fucked him up.

Then a bunch of things happen because of time travel shenanigans, quantum magic, and our protagonist being a fuck-up. Albeit a lovable one.

I think that's the shortest version of the premise I can come up with.

there is also a 4 volume long manga series that takes place about 3 maybe 5 years prior to the games plot.

finally there are two visual novel games that take place either much,much further back in time prior to the first 5 novels and the last 2 novels which may or may not be an alternative universe from the game's plot.

All of this comes together in the last 2 games plot for what's suppose to bring an end to the protagonist's role in the overall plot but to the actual story it'self.

Just knew that the dude with white hair and red jacket's life is a mess and the girl with two guns is bully bait and together they are suppose to solve this massive clusterfuck according to the jail bait looking gotha lolita.

Well, you can ignore all of the spinoffs and all of the manga because it's not important when you're summarizing something.

It's still difficult because there's three games worth of convoluted crap and so much of the story is dependent on setting details that sound stupid out of context, but it's doable.
