They were super popular because you could pirate games somewhat easily compared to getting an R4 or a supercard,I don't even know how much did it cost to get a chip installed, I never had one. the only game I saw mexican kids play on them were FIFA, just like every other console.

feels bad man. i'd love to see some family owned stores selling a wide variety of games from older generations to newer. If i were ever able to open a store that sounds like something i'd love to do.

I'm a Mexican and yes, everyone owned a psp at some point in their lives here.
The Vita had a small boom but then everyone realized it's really hard to mod it and hack it so no one has one now.
