Let me clarify all of those for you folks.

I feel like the intense admiration Ocelot felt for BB gradually (or, not so gradually) developed into a crush. after all, BB was a pretty charasmatic guy when he wasn't being an autist about guns, or doing silly shit in general. he was also insanely badass. EVA's message to Snake. The entire point of this message was to push Snake onto a different path.
EVA sent this tape because of Snake's activity in Nicaragua. We can deduce that the "little bird" EVA mentions in the tape is most likely Ocelot due to him being the constant wealth of information for The Patriots, and later Big Boss in MGSV.

Both Ocelot and EVA are very careful with their words when trying to convince Big Boss of something.

In Ocelot's case he is trying to carefully convince BB to show some compassion to the children.
"You only see them as cells in a tube?" and that drop of "Is he dead?" and Ocelot's "probably" in hopes that would cause Big Boss to react and start a search for Eli. But it didn't.

EVA hoped that knowing what happened to The Boss would change Big Boss's mind. She even says, nervously, "I'm not trying to second guess you." It's easy to tell her entire motive of sending the tape was second guessing his actions.

Ocelot cared for the children too, and by extension the children. At this point Ocelot knows about The Boss considering his involvement with EVA's tape. A child changed The Boss, would it change her pupil too? Very likely. Except it brought out the worst in him.

And finally, are they disgusted with his actions? Mostly, it's not hate, they still love him, its knowing nothing can be done to stop him now. He's on a war path, and what better way to use that than to create a power to rival Cipher. Listen to the report to Big Boss tapes and that's more than clear:

Another part I need to mention is, and I ran out of space, is EVA and Ocelot are Big Boss's Adam and Eve.
Because they were seduced by the Snake, ate the fruit, and were cast out of Eden, their lives changed. They became aware of the world. Both of them are the main forces against The Patriot AI, this becomes their complete focus after MGSV. Hell bent, they were determined to stop it, and in turn bring Big Boss out of his induced coma. This was planned far before Big Boss was "killed' in Zanzibar Land. MGSV is very clear in this.
They lost faith in the legend, this didn't fall out of love.
If they did, Big Boss would have never reached his epiphany at the end of MGS4. The tape Naomi left for Big Boss was a message from both EVA and Ocelot through her.
