What am I missing? Never had a PlayStation.
PSX Rec's thread
To add to this, RE3 Nemesis.
Some people consider it weaker to RE2. I personally consider it my favourite RE game. The constant worry of having Nemesis jumping out on you can cause some "Ohshit" moments that RE2 doesn't really have outside of Mr. X, but even he is easily dealt with as he is ultra slow.
symphony of the night has aged better than any other game because of its 2d sprites.
turn up the volume, and give it half an hour.
also when you find a room with a weird yellow thing in the middle, go to the middle of the room and press up to save your game.
Legend of dragoon bruh
What does /v/ think of this game? I remember getting it around Christmas-time as a kid and never finished it.
>what I'm missing?
>fuck you you missed one game
i remember I had a notebook when I was playing this game to keep shit updated like "HOW FAR CAN YOU GO IN ONE RUN ?" because I was shit, and I had written down "penis scooter acquired" somewhere in big letters.
Now I have to replay it. Alongside Dominions and ZHP
If you get the chance, give silent hill a run. it graphically hasn't aged amazingly, and its not as scary now as it was when new, but its pretty good at horror, especially for an older game. there's no cheesyness or lame shit at all.
I thought so too, they were great for 3d environments on ps1 as well, but we don't know what the OP expects or can/can't handle. (I know a few people who can't play more than 5 minutes of FF7 before giving up on graphics)
the other good thing about silent hill that I didn't say before is it can be finished in 5 hours, possibly led but I'd expect about 7-10 hours for first play through, so if you want a short one to get you started, it will do the trick.
A few more that I haven't seen mentioned yet (or haven't payed attention if so)
Bloody Roar 2
Darkstalkers 3: Jedah's Damnation
Heart of Darkness
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
Legend of Legaia
Parasite Eve and 2
Persona and 2
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
you sound like someone who spends all day shitposting on /v/ and barely plays any games.
This year I've beaten 25 games so far, and that's with a 40 hour job and a girlfriend.
Spend less time posting ebin memes on /v/ and more time actually enjoying your hobby.
good taste man
>What am I missing?
1. Final Fantasy 9 (you will love it, money back if you don't)
2. Crash Team Racing (no matter whether you like racing games or not, you will also love it)
Obviously a controller would be necessary, especially for CTR. Those 2 games don't disappoint, take the word of some stranger on the internet for it!
The will to play is what you're missing. You're just collecting. If I had any one of these games back when the psx was relevant, i'd be playing it, and you have them all but you're still talking about collecting more.
Jade Cocoon. It's like Pokemon except you can mix-and-match the monsters and the game morphs them together to create a new monster based on the original two. I got it cheap at a Blockbuster (back when Blockbuster sold games (back when Blockbuster existed)) and it was p. good. Cool story, too, very Shinto-ish.
I most definitlely am collecting quite fiendishly, I admit that, but I did just finish Castlevania yesterday... I like stocking up in case the internet goes out or SOPA or the TPP or whatever fucks everything up. Guess I'm just paranoid.
As you could predict, I also got No-Intro collections of every 8 and 16 bit console.
Such is life for people with unlimited money or access to unlimited games (like an emulator). I've been there before. You get all game-happy, snapping up every game that looks good, and then you have this pile of games and you can't bring yourself to play any of them. Shit sucks. Nowadays I'm poor and I value each individual game much more, and life is better.
Did you finish that backlog, OP?
if you want to go deeper than just emulating games, go to www (.) oldgamemags (.) com and go to the ps1 area, and download some of the magazines from the time. what was written back in the day is generally much different than what is said in retrospect, and they can be really interesting. (an old n64 gamer magazine gave superman 64 a positive preview, saying with a little polish it could be a great game, and praised the flying)
Too lazy to read thread and see if shit has already been mentioned.

Get the JP rom, everything is the same as the other versions, but the nip version has the best main menu song, which is quite important at one part.
Surgical equipment is stuck in his leg, they're battering it to knock it loose, it's actually pretty common, idiots who don't know any better started spreading it around Facebook calling the doctor a cunt.
>N64 has much better library
>N64 also has bad emulation
Megaman Legends games, Crash team racing, yugioh forbidden memories, Twisted metal series, Syphon filter series, both dino crisis, Final fantasy tactics, Brave fencer musashi, anything squaresoft on playstation really, Rival Schools 1-2.
>Megaman X5 and 8.
Why are you hitting yourself?
I recently completed REmake HD for the first time and I'd like to move onto Resident Evil 2 now. Which version should I emulate or should I download the SourceNext PC version + English patch?
I am willing to admit that my statement may be influenced in part by nostalgia.
It did have the better multiplats.
>people still use that trash that is ePSXe
Inb4 muh graphics
