New to this game, and am enjoying it so far.
I guess I'm sorta new to these kinds of RPGs as well, and I'm having trouble getting a handle on all the systems. Any tips for starting out?

Make a team of specialists and give each one a different weapon type. It's tempting to give everyone ARs and go nuts, but too many people using the same weapon types drain the ammo pools quickly (unless you've got pure blunt weapon users).

Always have a dedicated medic and lockpicker/safecracker.

Keep track of your enemies, as you don't need to be in cover when fighting melee enemies and some cover can block line of sight.

Do not try to build up more than 3 skills per character, as you won't have enough EXP to rank them high enough for endgame if you spread too much.

Other than that, it's up to you.

It runs fine, but then it just crashes for no damned reason. Does it in the inventory screen like a third of the time I do shit in there.

At 4 INT, you can fully level 3 skills and have enough left over to get about half of a fourth. Naturally, one should be your weapon skill. At 8 INT, you have enough skill points to level about 4 and a half. at 10 INT, 5 and a half.

Don't ever get any INT except 4 or 10.
less than 4 makes the character basically useless. 8 isn't bad, except if you spent 4 points to get +1 skill points, it's smarter to just spend 2 more for +1 more.

The above doesn't account for quirks. Delayed Gratification gets you about 30+ more skill points total.

Does anyone know if the Disparanumerophobia boost is taken into account when leveling up for the number of skill points you get?

Also, how did inexile manage to make the higher poly models look worse than the old ugly ones?

Yeah, I tried starting a game today but it crashed really badly withing the first 15 minutes, and so badly that the game became unable to load save games, even after closing and restarting it.

I'm waiting for a patch or three.

I dont think it affects skill point gain. I think my ranger with it got 4 points with 8 base int, when it should have been 3 or 5 if it did have an effect.

I just wish you could only level specific characters rather than everyone eligible when you call in. Would make that quirk so much better.
