Playing? Maybe. Not worth buying though. Firaxis don't deserve customers.

It'll only be worth the price when the second expansion is out and it's all been squeezed into a GOTY edition which itself has gotten steadily cheaper

I thought the base game was worth playing personally, but this is a big improvement.

I wish they would rethink the trade route system though.

I always feel like I'm in opposite land with Civ.

I liked Civ V at launch and thought the expansions made it shittier.

I loved BE at launch and thought it was the best thing to come out of the series.
