EA did this with Cities Skylines too. They have corporate spies that catch wind of other upcoming titles. If there's anything that they consider normally "EA's Jurisdiction" (ie: battlefield games, maxis and bullfrog games) they quickly rush out an empy, DLC-packed ripoff of a shitheap to beat the other company to the punch.

Same will happen with EA's Battlefront this year as Simcity. Hardcore fans will be extremely hyped only to have their dreams crushed by a massive stinking pile of shit and the only people that eat it up will be streamers/youtubers who will claim that the game is good.

Then DICE can do like Cities... take all the time they want to finish their game and learn from EA's mistakes to make sure that their release is smooth, awesome and not jewish.

Bad Company 2 was my first actual entry into Battlefield, the most I played of Battlefield 2 and 2142 was when my dad would take me to Best Buy on the weekends. When they had those gaming PC/laptop setups. Didn't get a gaming PC until I built one almost 3 years ago.

The nostalgia I had for BF2/2142 and my liking of BC2 was the only reason I picked up BF3. They really made it out to be a BF2 sequel from the hype, but on release but deceived everyone when it turned out to just be BC3. That and I got the premium edition for only $30. I had my fun with it but I was let down over the premium/DLC shit they pulled and the dogshit vanilla maps.

But that was, and will be the last time I gave EA my money.

I didn't. I said I enjoyed BC2, but the Bad Company series wasn't comparable to BF2 or 2142 because the Bad Company series was originally designed for consoles after Modern Combat.

BF3 was advertised and supposed to be a successor to BF2. What we got was a consolized version at its core, and funny enough BC2 still remained a far better game that BF3 ever was.

Star Wars is simply too big to fail, Disney knows it, EA knows it and they will exploit it to the max.
