I would like a game entirely on a ship, Imperial, Rebel, whatever, where you're a mechanic or engineer, you don't personally participate in any battles but you're on in ultra-high detailed environment you can interact with on multiple levels and how you choose to touch up the ship can effect the outcome of space battles or other obstacles in space. Think basically Alien Isolation levels of detail only you're not in constant danger. I just love going into the nitty gritty of SW ships even though they're obviously fantastical and don't attempt to make much sense.

Well, if I recall, you level up survey from resource gathering, as in, you actually collect resources from the site you've sniffed out. Even if they aren't the materials you need, if you find any at a decent enough concentration you should just go for it for the XP. Also, resources do get better the further out of town you go, but I'm talking like thousands and thousands of clicks or km or whatever out of town. A speeder helps with that.

If cash is a problem try shout-scumming for enough to get you a ticket off that rock. Unless you're on some private server where you're the only one on it.

If you can't find any players, there are NPC trainers that charge for training. In your case, it should say something like (Artisan Trainer) in its name.
