A lot of the machinery sticking out of the desert and fireland area looks like Mechonis parts.

That being said though, Xenoblade would have taken place like 13 billion years ago when the universe was created.

They definitely do. At least in the way of color and choosing your parts... though you might just buy entire Doll frames and swap out weapons and devices.

So far, the things that are confirmed is color scheme, shoulder weapons (left/right), and arm weapons (left/right). Some scenes and screenshots suggest three weapons per side, but I dunno.

We've also seen the same Doll with different max HP and Fuel, so something's going on there.

And if you look at the new screenshots, there are two different Doll frame types with that arm that has a wide forearm and four circles on it, so we might see the same customization we get on the humans - arm, arm, legs, chest, head. Maybe.

I dunno.

But there is definitely some degree of customization, we just don't know what that is until next month.

I wouldn't want this game's plot to be a direct sequel to Xenoblade but it looks like they're hinting it takes place in the same universe.

I'm okay with little nods and shit that accepts there's some sort of continuity between the games, that would make the backstory all that more interesting, but overall the plot should deal with entirely different themes

the game can hint at riki being tatsu's ancient heropon legend, the game can show human Zanza on the Moby Dick, fuck it can maybe even hint at the ruins of the Mechonis for side-plots and background lore.

I'd just like to see the main plot take place in an entirely different direction.

Vanea looks away embarrassed from the monitor. "Is Fiora really dreaming this?" She was in Linada's lab. As the Machina reversion process was being used on Fiora, she slept in a chamber that was replacing her machine parts with flesh and bone, slowly but surely. The "dream machine" was used to monitor Fiora to make sure her brain wouldn't go into shock from the process, but it seemed she was keeping herself occupied.

Linada found it amusing to a point, brushing it off as the girl's wildest fantasies, but it was a little more personal to Vanea.
