RTSes that aren't theirs are pretty much dead or forgotten niche games, they have the one of only mmos even alive and worth playing(WoW, Final Fantasy 14, Guild Wars 2), Diablo series is the only good hack n slash, and Heroes and Overwatch will stomp the competition. The fact some of the Overwatch heroes will also be playable in Heroes of the Storm is gonna be a huge dent in Riot's side and the fact you get to play the real warcraft 3 heroes and not bad bootlegs will fuck over Dota 2.

They never innovated with WoW. They just took all the years of work and testing that everquest did, and took the BEST shit from everquest and shoved it in WoW. It was literally perfect at launch. IT was 10/10 fucking greatness. But that's no longer the case. They're simply trodding along. It's still a totally playable game, but it's nowhere near top except in playerbase.
I have no doubts about the new protoss expack for SC2, hearthstone, and hots being top of their field though.

-sneak around enemy camps mgs style and place explosives in areas
-fly/drive vehicles and launch bombs/guns at hundreds of enemies at once
-dive to the bottom of lakes and oceans to hunt for treasure
-interact fully in scenes that would normally be generic cutscenes in any other game

Among a variety of other things. No other mmo I saw innovated questing like that, most the rest are generic fetch quests and shit like "Kill 500 of these pigs and give their penises to Mr. Chu so he can use them for his soup".

Ok it's real simple. Dota 2 and League occupy 2 separate spaces as far as general theme goes. Dota 2 is a more classic fantasy with a twist with heroes designed to fit that aesthetic and style(ie. Drow, Treant, QoP, Tiny, etc.), whereas League is more contemporary and "hip" also with characters that suit that style(Vi, Jinx, Ezreal, Lucian, Vayne, etc). Blizzard has an advantage here in that they can easily do both of what they do in the same game:

-Use classic Blizzard fantasy characters)WoW, Diablo)
-Use classic Blizzard sci fi characters(Starcraft)
Then the H-Bomb: since they'll also be using Overwatch characters for some of the heroes in HotS, they'll be able to have stuff to compete with the kind of champs LoL has such as Vi, Jinx, those quirky modern punky cool type things. Blizzard will destroy Dota 2 with classic characters since people would much rather play the real Illidan and not "Terrorblade the demon who went to doublehell" And as much as people like LoL designs, Overwatch has shit that will appeal to many different people(That new buff muscle punk girl, that grimdak edgy reaper guy, that cyberninja, etc).

Blizzard if they play their cards right, will be able to have classic fantasy with a twist like Dota has, sci fi, and also more modern and "cool" characters all in one game. Thus edging out the competition aesthetically.

In Dragonblight you have the same type of quest where you 'sneak' in on your flying mount and only abominations can detect you, but since dying in PVE in wow is nearly impossible it doesn't really matter. Nearly all quests lead up to going inside an enemy camp, killing a few guys, getting out with a map/invasion plans/artefact/killing a named mob etc. Point is that wow has nothing original anymore.

They just shit out a twitter feature, a raid that was beaten in a few days, and some more facebook/garrisons crap.
