Black Knight Halberd is definitely the smartest weapon to rush. Nothing else even comes close. Only problem is it relies on RNG.

used a black knight sword (dropped from the first BK in the burg) on my first run through and loved it. The weight of the strikes, the power, easily my favorite weapon. Used that and a grass crest shield for basically the entire game.
