1)Pixel graphics. Lazy for the most part unless well done (see Metal Slug or Mercenary Kings)
2)Platformers. Stop it.
3)'Retro'. Which is a code word for my pixel art sucks so it looks old amicoolyet xDD

And of course the indie dev mentality and look doesn't help. Granted I'm generalizing as there are good indie games, they're just very rare.

I'll support indie games that aren't sidescrollers, lazy pixel art games, or zelda clones.

Too many of them play on the nostalgia factor too much, essentially becoming sequels to older games, rather than contributing something new.
