I've used one before. The Xbone's controller has an infinitely better d-pad than the 360 controller but they fucked up the RB and LB buttons by making them tough and awkward to press. Otherwise, it's about the same as the 360 controller and definitely an improvement with the better d-pad.

No, it's not, it's shit. You can press on any part of the D-pad and move it in any direction. It's stupidly imprecise, I constantly hit down or up when I'm trying to press it left or right. Controller is fine otherwise though.

You're lucky if you can get six hours of battery life out of the DualShock 4's shitty little proprietary battery. An Xbox controller can go for over 20 hours on a full charge. That is plenty.

And because the Xbox controllers don't use proprietary batteries, if you're a moron who doesn't charge your controller after using it for 20+ hours you can swap in a fresh set of fully charged AAs in seconds whereas with a Sony controller you have to tether yourself to your console like it's the 1990's all over again for a few hours while it takes forever to recharge its crappy proprietary battery.

It's the closest to one size fits all in terms of shape and size. The sticks were very good with that concave center. The skittle buttons were miles better than the analog ones on the DS3, and many people prefer the solid feeling you get when you press one compared to the flat ones found on the DS or the strange wobbly mini-buttons on Nintendo stuff.

The dpad doesn't matter, it's not a necessary component for anything except maybe fighting games, at which point you might as well use a stick if you're into that genre.
