What's with female game devs and colored hair?
I have been telling myself since fucking Spore not to get hyped, every game is a disappointment and nothing ever lives up to any hype or even hope you have.
but I am so fucking hyped anon a half decent city builder thank the gods its been so many years.
If they had normal colored hair, you wouldn't say anything.
>day one DLC
Welp, you know what this calls for.
>female game devs
You mean western female game devs.
people cite aposematism, but it's actually like reverse aposematism
it lets the male devs who run the industry know that the girl will trade sex in order for a job or publicity or whatever, like in five guys
I was wrong, that's from the digital deluxe edition. The pre-order includes a bouncy castle, carousel, dog park, basketball park and a botanical garden.
It kind of is day 1 dlc, as it is bundled for free with pre orders and costs money after release.
She's wearing a Slytherin obe and it looks like some kind of event is going on in the background. Which means it was probably Halloween when the picture was taken despite the date the article was published.
She most likely dyed her hair to fit with her outfit. Not making any statements about her personality but it seems clear why her hair is dyed.
Special snowflake disorder.
Lack of attention growing up disorder.
Daddy problem disorder.
Think about it. Some women actually give a shit about games, but these color hair girls are in it to be treated like a queen because of that guy gamer nerdy virgin stereotype.
How do you know it costs money afterwards? and what does it matter with a game like this when you can simply install a mod that includes them?
Games have had pre order bonus's for years long before digital distribution became a thing, I think you are grasping at straws anon.
Needs updated response to floods.Seeing dam lowering the water level, making cities on the new coast and then demolishing that dam was pretty neat.
All I'm looking for is a city builder that isn't shit. That is it. No performance issues (Cities XL), not simplistic and repetitive (Tropico), no stupid design decisions (SimCity 2013)
I want SC4 2015 edition. Please Finland. Pls.
Anyone watch TB streaming it yesterday morning? Looks pretty interesting, but I only watched him for like, 30 minutes before he quit. Didn't have time to watch Quill18 because I had to go to work.
>Cities of Tomorrow fixed most of SimCity's issues
At the moment it looks much much better than SC 2013 in every aspect excluding maybe graphics.
Looks about on par with vanilla SC4, much less buggy.
Mod tools seem very good so modding is gonna be huge.
>google Cities of Tomorrow
>from journalists too
Looks like it bro. City building genre is saved.
Figure out traffic and you're not gonna fail in city builders.
There is a "Hard Mode" mod already in the game made by the devs. It reduces demand and increases prices of everything.
>mfw i'm gonna mod them all in for free
Yeah, we'll see once your city has 200k+ population.
What is Western about SA at all? They're not as wealthy (Brazil being a BRIC member just means it has potential), they don't look like NA/Europeans, they eat completely different foods, they have a completely different culture, and they speak Spanish/Portuguese.
SC4 is simple as fuck
People will always, ALWAYS take the shortest routes.
The network mod does fix this, but it ultimately makes it about time to travel still. They just don't go full retard and ignore a freeway access right next to a small street.
It also fixes their general lack of wanting to use public transport.
Fuck people act like this shits rocket science
As I mentioned to someone before, you can always tell if someone's experienced at Simcity because roads and streets off of the main path usually end in dead ends. Wish there was an OpenSC4 to fix a lot of the wonkier parts of SC4.
yes, the West from Russia
Russian culture does not really have any Asian influence at all. Even though most of its territory is to the East, it has been conquered relatively lately.
I didn't mean that you had to fulfill all those criteria to be Western, just one of them
And what SA country is as wealthy as Spain or Portugal (economic crisis notwithstanding)?
>In the contemporary cultural meaning, the phrase "Western world" includes Europe, as well as many countries of European colonial origin with substantial European ancestral populations in the Americas and Oceania.
>Shitskins in this thread actually think they're "western"
The term "western world" is mostly a carry over from the Cold War NATO and ANZUS alliances.
It has a large amount to do with GDP and general standards of living.
Not that guy but I've pirated every game since the beginning of the 6th gen. Installing cfw on the ps3 as soon as it was available has saved me hundreds of dollars. I started doing this shit in the late 80s. It's the pirate's life for me.
It's pretty big once you have all the expansions I think. The fact the game is touted and been very mod friendly gives us hope that they'll be super large areas modded in eventually.
Because it's specifically handed out to streamers and youtubers to create some hype. There is actually a NDA that forbids them to review this game in any kind. They are only allowed to play it. Review embargo lifts at release. It won't appear on twitch afterwards again.
9 is the default number of plots you can purchase. Apparently, you can unlock this restriction and you have no limit to number of plots other than what your hardware can handle.
Does it only show the plots that are directly connected to ones you already own? Now that I think about it, every time someone looking at the map it's always showing extra plots in cardinal directions.
Ah, that makes sense, I guess. I never understood why Europe & Asia and to a lesser extent, Africa, were considered different continents, when they are all part of the same contiguous mass.
The modded size is bigger than the largest SC4 map size.
>Do you want to watch each other build cities or something?
Are you implying that's all t city building multiplayer has to offer? Maybe try OpenTTD with friends.
Astounding pleb narrative story you got there bud, I'm glad you can settle for mediocrity, I know I can't.
I was about to make a comparison to playing minecraft with friends, but then I realized how... limited and unengaging city builders are compared to even sandbox building games.
No, it's just artificially casualized by default. Traffic has much less impact than your population would dictate.
Also, since balancing your budget is a major gameplay focus, price balance will shift your priorities around a lot. If everything is more expensive, you're going to overextend easily and have to take a more piecemeal, organic approach instead of building entire districts at a time.
>Tomorrow fixed most of SimCity's issues
enjoy the 1 square meter cities
Finns are their own ethic group of finno-ugrians.
>Being ok with killing an entire genre
>implying im responsible for the death of this genre
No that would be the shit lazy game developers that stopped giving a shit.
I'm not buying another fucking game unless I pirate it first. And even then, unless I really like it, I'm still not gonna give them money.
Why reward laziness?
I have my own way of determining which games deserve my money and which ones don't.
What I'm seeing now with this game is shitty optimization, which definitely doesn't bode well for me giving them my money.
You ass clowns can hoot and holler all you want about who's killing which genre with what behavior, you can't stop me.
