Can we have a computer chair thread?
What are you sitting in? How much was it? Would you recommend it for 12 hour sessions of Comfy Chair Simulator?
I have that exact chair, OP
better invest in a quality chair, /v/.
you never know when it'll happen to you

The Aeron is great and all, but I want the fucking embody something fierce.
I'm sitting in a busted ass decade old office chair with a broken back and so terribly worn armrests that they're just wood now.
It works though and it's really comfy to masturbate in so I haven't bothered buying a new one.
>>285522642
>not kneeling in front of your seat to masturbate
>>285522642
Is it a gas cylinder one?
>>285522815
Think so yeah.
Why?
>>285522920
That shit's gonna break off and fly into your ass one of these days.
my chair is a custom made from a car seat it's pretty great been with me for atleast 6 years and going strong
>ctrl+f
>no leap v2
computer is on a floor desk made from cardboard boxes and some wood on top
I just squat in front of it like a slav with a folded blanket to support my heels for sessions longer than 2 hours. Feels pretty great actually.
lol spend $700 on a leap or freedom or whatever other garbage ergo chair, i've sat in them all, owned a few, they're all complete trash compared to something as simple as a goddamn recliner.
so get a fucking la-z-boy and slap some wheels on it and forget about this ergo bullshit.
>>285523476
>spending that much money on a meme seat
Why aren't you gaming in pure comfort, /v/?
>>285523784
fuck off notch
>>285522642
>I'm sitting in a busted ass decade old office chair with a broken back and so terribly worn armrests that they're just wood now.
retard, find an old recliner on craigslist and you'll be comfy for years.
>>285521767
dont buy the "racer" chair all the camwhores use.
get a proper office chair.
A solid oak chair with some cushioning on it.
>>285521767
i have that exact chair
pricey, but worth it
also, get yourself a throw blanket to put on it - since its mesh seating, your ass gets cold fast in a cold environment
also the blanket makes it a tad more comfy for longer sitting durations
>>285523907
out of curiosity, what's wrong with bucket seats?
Daily reminder that these chairs are made to explode in ur ass one day.
>>285523757
>>285523779
sure is poor in here
enjoy never experiencing a glide base seat.
>>285521767
I want a chair with a hole I can stick my dick into
don't suppose you know any of those do you
This is my chair, I like it, it's decently comfy for long sessions and it's nice when leaned back
>>285524139
>a glide based seat
i've sat in the new gesture too, and guess what? it's still fucking trash. hard seat, hard arm rests, no real freedom to move around. if you aren't a fat shit you can sit however the fuck you want in a recliner, or even lay down, whatever, you aren't stuck in the severely limited space that a normal office chair keeps you in.
I have an old piece of shit chair we got at goodwill for 10 bucks, one of the arms was all busted so we just unscrewed it and the other one so now it has no arms
but i'll be damned if it isn't the comfiest office chair I ever did sit in
>ikea markus (i think)
>$180
would def. recommend so far, i probably can't wear this one out in a year, and i love the neck rest
>>285524017
>also the blanket makes it a tad more comfy for longer sitting durations
what this anon is trying to say is that this chair will hurt your ass if you sit on it for awhile. it'll hurt your elbows too, since the aeron's arm rests are actually fucking plastic and uncomfortable as shit, just like the leap, the nightengale cxo, the freedom, etc. "soft touch" plastic still feels like shit after an hour or two.
Not very comfy, I must admit.
Even if you are NEET, remember to get up every once in a while and get that blood flowing.
Don't die on me, /v/.
>>285522746
oh god I do this
>>285524764
But I did get up today.I went on a date.

This man speaks wisdom. Stretch out those legs every so often whenever you get up to piss or something.
>>285524021
Would you buy a gaming table or a gaming bed? It might look cool, but the longevity is honestly pretty damn questionable since they're outright designed to sell with branding and looks.
Honestly, if you want a bucket seat as your gayman/masturbatan chair, get a proper racing seat and ghetto rig an office chair leg to it, or just bolt it to some wooden platform and call it a day

Cool this thread is perfect for me. I sit cross legged in my chair and I have trouble finding comfy chairs because of it, does anyone share my plight and have any advice?
Shit like >>285526431 has too small of a seat for me to comfortably sit cross legged in it.Please help
>>285526541She used it in reference to modern anime.
>>285526579
get a chair without arms, that way your legs can cross to your hearts content
>>285526579
>I sit cross legged in my chair
I used to do this, but in recent years I've found it to completely annihilate my knees.
Aeron
Got rid of lower back problems
>>285526686
but the chair I have now has arms and still wide enough of a seat so I can enjoy both worlds.
>>285526764I have to get up and stretch or lay down sometimes because I've been a NEET for a few months and my knees are trying to kill me.
>>285526864
>but the chair I have now has arms and still wide enough of a seat so I can enjoy both worlds.
then what's the issue
>>285526686
I forgot to add on to my other post the reason I ask for advice is because my chair is starting to show its age.
From what I have researched:
$ - Ikea Markus (200$)
$$ - dxracer meme chairs (300$)
$$$- Herman Miller Aeron (600$)
$$$$ - Herman Miller Embody (900$)
I'm sitting on a shitty office chair in my dorm that's so rigid and uncomfortable I have to put my pillows on it to keep my ass comfy.
Then I forget I'm sitting on my pillows and keep ripping out dank farts, only to go to bed feeling nauseated as my pillows are stained with the stench of rumpy trumpies.

move the fucking wireless modem shit
why does it need to be on your desk
>>285523363
Is this actually better for you? Or you just like it?
>>285527460
My router isnt wireless bro, my PC is directly connected to it, and I also use it to get a wired connection for my PS3/Xbone. Where else should I put it
>>285528154
idk, mine is under the sofa
you could always try to get cables that are longer than your dick
>>285525212
I agree "gaming" marketed merchandise is really stupid. I have thought of finding an actual bucket seat and playing Dr. Frankenstein to get some wheels on it. Then again if I ever get a bucket seat it would be for a sim pit.
>>285522746
i have this too. Ergohuman master race.
wooden chair with a pillow on it master race
>super comfy
>cost 0 because i cut down the tree and built the chair myself
>>285528358
Why the fuck would I put my router under my couch? That would be mighty convenient if I had to reset it, and I'm sure the antennas will fit great under there! It's not an issue of cable length, I have a 25ft ethernet cable going from it to my consoles, and the one going to my PC obviously dosn't need to be that long. It's perfectly fine where it is and honestly I think it just makes more sense to have your router where your PC is...
Threadly reminder.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/6187080.stm
I should probably replace my chair, the seat cushion is flat and the piston has given up the ghost. No matter how many times I set it to the highest position, it drifts down to the bottom setting.
But I have no money for a real quality chair, so I guess it'll have to do for a few months.
>>285529908
Just reminding you of the actual correct posture
What's wrong with DX racing chairs? Racing seats are some of the best, I don't know where else I could get a racing seat with wheels.
>>285524594
That looks like it'd grow and overtake you while you play vidya completely unaware
>>285526776
That is some fucking comfy lighting, specifically what mouse is that? And they keyboard. And the desk. And the headset.
Thanks.
>>285530306
It's pricetag. 300 for a chair? Fuck outta here.
>>285530306
they aren't racing seats, they're office chairs that look like racing seats.
do you know what racing seats are for? they're to keep your fat ass in place so the g-forces don't throw you around the goddamn car. do you need to stay exactly in one position while you're at your pc? no, you fucking don't.
>>285530825
>>285530839
Well shit, I know the price tag is steep and I would of never bought it. But I need a comfy chair because I sit on my ass all day.
>>285522746
>kneeling in front of your seat to masturbate
What? I'm not sure how to picture this.
>>285530937
Then get a good office chair, actually outright designed to comfortably seat asses day in and day out, instead of some gayman chair with little aside from ricer appeal going for it
it hurts..

I might buy this, I also need an Ottoman and Ikea probably sells them. Thanks.
>not sitting on a bed
>depriving yourself of the ability to lay down
what's the matter, your screen to small to see from 6 feet away?
I got a free lime green designer office chair. It was made for shorter people, but it's comfy, quiet and surprisingly tolerable to look at despite the color.
Something like 800 dollars, but the model went out of production so my mom just took it since they were gonna scrap it anyways.
>Dad drives over to my place
>He has a chair
>"The office is moving and they said take whatever home so I grabbed this chair"

>>285532927
It's not "standard", especially on cheaper models, so make sure it actually reclines like you want to before pulling the trigger. Some shittier chairs just tilt the backrest and seat cushion together in a fixed 90° angle.
Also if you have $1000ish to drop on a chair, fucking do it. One of my previous "jobs" got a brand new, top of the line chair for the new helpdesk location. That thing had adjustable everything, it had like four different levers for all the controls and even a little hand pump for a fucking inflatable lumbar support, and once you got everything properly set up it was simply euphoric to sit on. Yeah, it's GTX980 SLI money, but it makes your battlestation genuinely far nicer than some extra FPS ever can
Anyone own an Office Star Space Seating?
Quite a few chair review sites highly recommend it for a relatively inexpensive chair. But who can trust those.

It's great for the price, and very durable unlike most Ikea products.
He is probably a fatass who needs at least two chairs.
Preddy good for $50
>>285533491
I would spend $1000 on a chair, it's a long term investment and it's better for my back. I need to do some research on chairs.
Thanks.

Sitting in that exact chair right now. Got it about 15 years ago. It's pretty good, but honestly for being the "best" chair on the market there are many weak points.

this one. it's half-way decent but I wish it was better. was rather cheap.

>>Would you buy a gaming table or a gaming bed?

I used to have that exact same chair, had to switch because the plastic spacer holding the piston in place broke off and the thing started tilting uncomfortably far.
Overall, pretty shit/10 would've picked something else in hindsight. At least it did last for an acceptable number of years, considering the price
I've had this one for a month now, it's been great. So comfy when I release the lock and lean back.
Had a more basic office chair earlier, I fucking hate the ones with a net in the back. It just stretches too much eventually, and won't stay tight. Also not as comfy, even when new.
