Is there any games that have body horror/mutated people like pic related?
>>
>>285363093
Dead Space has a lot of body horror, obviously.

Amnesia monsters, although they're kinda goofy.

Fallout ghouls are kinda gross when you think about people walking around with their faces all open and raw.
>>
>>285364665
RAW BODY FLUID?
>>
>>285363093
Quake 4 has a sequence where the main character gets their limbs amputated armor grafted to their bodies, and shit injected into their eyes. All from a first person perspective.

I know but is it scary, like in robocop

Bioshock

They also appear in the worst levels

I saw that scene when I was young then my Mom cooked a frozen pizza right after, and the melted cheese and sauce reminded me of him. I couldn't fucking eat it.

>parents that show their young kids violent R-rated movies

Robocop is gruesome shit for a little kid
>>
>>285366607
Yeah no shit, some aunt or something bought it for me not realizing it was the craziest shit ever. I watched it in another room with my finger on the volume button.
>>
>>285366607
crazy thing about that movie, I saw it once as a little kid and didn't remember it being anywhere near as violent as it was. When I watched it again a few years ago it blew my mind seeing all the gore in it.

Granted, most of the violence in it is comically over the top.
>>
>>285366607
It really was.

I remember channel surfing when I was maybe 5, and changed to that scene right as the guy is hit by the car and explodes.

Forever burned into my memory.

That was some straight Cronenberg shit. I take you're looking for some Cronenberg shit in your games? Best bet: System Shock 2, Amnesia, Half Life series, Killing Floor, and maybe the Mass Effect series for the husks and other abominations.
>>
>>285366607
Not same anon but I use to love Robocop and my mom let me watch Day of the Dead. I remember the zombies ripping the bad guy in half and eating his guts. How fuckedd am I?

>Piece together that people end up getting gruesomely murdered with bees
God damn killer bugs in games freak me the fuck out. I'm not even an insectophope, just watching people get mutilated by swarms of insects or anything of the sort makes my skin crawl. Kind of like the scarabs scenes in the Mummy movies. God damn I should play RE4.
>>
>>285366607
Me and me mum used to watch Nightmare on Elm street and the Friday the 13th movies along with just generic 70's and 80's horror movies when I was young and I turned out okay

Good ol' WB. Showing R-Rated action movies to 8 year olds.

really the only violence in robocop I remember being striking to me as a kid was when Murphy had his hand blown off, and when Emil got the acid bath. the latter especially.

Didn't really bother me that much though.

I loved Robocop and T2 when I was a kid. Its funny, but I think I appreciated them more as a kid with all that violence. made em seem more gritty and shit. Kids hate being talked down to and treated like, well, kids. So a movie with R rated action and shit will appeal infinitely more than today's sanitized PG13 action.

>turn TV off in the middle of the scene, have nightmares and trouble getting to sleep the rest of the weekend

good thing I did too, the rest of the film would've given me PTSD compared to that. Fucking love that movie nowadays.
