I have no solution to put forth. There's unfortunately no genre naming committee that stays up countless sleepless hours thinking of fitting descriptors for genres. That would be pretty cool though. I just deal with it and go for more lengthy descriptors. "Isometric RPGs with an emphasis on narrative." I think we'll have better genre names in a couple more decades though if videogames grow in the same way that movies did. Could you imagine if they grew like music though? Dozens and dozens of subgenres that are impenetrable to anyone who hasn't been gaming for more than a few years. I actually sort of like that notion.

Fucking great game. If you haven't played LISA I SUPER recommend playing it. But for another build, a decker/shaman worked surprisingly well for me. Early game was god awful, but by mid I was alright. If you want a real fun time though play a mage technophobe. Any choices involving technology just go nuts on it.
