>That feel when I just be P4G for the first time
>That feel when I am actually saddened by the fact that it's over
>Was such a great game
>Such great characters (in b4 P3 lovers that hate P4)
>Not sure what to do with myself now
Just such a comfy setting, and just an ease of mind kind of game. I hope P5 accomplishes the same thing. Is there a term for this /v/, could I be missing my virtual IT friends?
I don't want to play the spin offs, because they aren't my characters. This is a bitter sweet feel. I loved it so much, I didn't even realize how fast I was playing until it was over.
>killing job to play
u wot m8
na I did, few weeks before I bought a Vita for P4G, I ended up spoiling myself pretty hard. I still played the game as if I was the protagonist, made sense for the most part.
I was sad it was over once. That was a long time ago.
Please do not sexualize the Nanako.
>I don't want to play the spin offs, because they aren't my characters.
You're right with that. The Spin-Offs ruin the characters either by just letting them stagnate and overstay their welcome like in Arena, or flat-out turning them into jokes like in PQ
It eases the pain of getting disconnected by such a great and relaxing experience, but it ruins the experience in retrospect so keep off them if you can.
You can still play Persona 3 of course. The tone and the experienc is different but there is still much to appreciate. Iwatodai dorm was also comfy as hell
Did I do the game wrong, I romanced Chie, but I did it mid-august I think. Also, I thought it was cool as fuck that Gold every now and again reminds you that you are going out with someone. I heard that was an issue with the vanilla P4
>Hanging out with Chie, post girlfriend causes her to call you "my man and I should go alone on a trip" sometimes
>little bits of added dialogue in various events
Thought Atlus was being a cheeky cunt.
She's one of the first S-links you get access to and she's available on most days, you should naturally finish it quite early.
>tfw the comfy all started to fade when this played
Felt awesome. I totally wasn't expecting the music for your base of operations to just change like that.
I think I'll do that. I ended up having money to burn and bought
A completely sealed $150 P3 Limited edition of P3 FES with soundtrack, art book, and poster, along with a used PS2 and a new copy of FES to play for $15 I have a job Nobody on /v/ would believe me if I told them what I do I have to keep my japanese game knowledge away from my co-workers and family.
>Nobody on /v/ would believe me if I told them what I do
I know that feel OP.
It's strange even though more than a year passed since I beat the game it somehow feels nostalgic when I listen to Signs of Love.
>"I think I'll do that"
>already bought everything there is to get in the most expensive fashion
Not that I'm complaining. Mind posting pics of all that stuff?
Also emulation would have been much easier and much MUCH prettier...
go ahead and tell us.
Heres P3 FES
>completely sealed $150 P3 Limited edition of P3 FES with soundtrack, art book, and poster
God fucking damn, I'm jelly. Anyway you're in for a treat, P3 is best Persona. Although the gameplay is gonna take some getting used to after Golden.
I found all the male party members to be fun and compelling characters, even if they got overused as comic relief.
I found the females to be very steretipical and plain boring though.
Rise was perhaphs the most interesting untill she embraced her slutyness.
>not idly allowing personafags to enjoy their waifushit and believe their games are in any way superior to mainline so that they can fund atlus' good side
control yourself nigger, if they all caught on, we'd be fucked by casualization
this. remembering the time I played the game last year feels like remembering playing all my favourite games in my childhood. Same with the music. All those rather cheery songs make me feel kinda emotional and nostalgic.
Hiccups? Yeah, those occasional slowdowns when there are too many particle-effects on the screen. It happens in every game, though I don't mind it at all
Also emulating pic related currently
he said he bought both
I believe it 100%, that's not even that far-fetched.
Good on ya, being a firefighter is basically as close as you can come in this world to being a superhero.
What the fuck is this casual dating sim shit?
This is now an SMT thread, get out fat fuck NEETS. And let the real mean discuss REAL vidya
OP I totally know how you feel.
Last night I saw the cutscene with Nanako
dyingthen I did the bad ending to see how it is before restarting and choosing the correct choices for the good ending. I saved after and stopped for the night. I'm so hyped.
In Burgerland, you can only work up to 40 hours a week. Most civil service jobs are 12 hour shifts, so you can only do 3 shifts a week, 36. Typically you get a call for overtime, make some mad money if you do take it.
Muh man! I finished P4G for the first time last week. I felt the same way, but I immediately went on to Persona Q. Sure the characters have been turned into paper cut-out jokes, but I've been hankering for more RPGs and I wanted to hear more of the voice actors.
It also ended up getting me interested in SMT in general, I'm playing through SMTIV now and enjoying it. I plan to go through Persona 3 at some point too. Still, I feel like the characters and setting of P4 are really special. Probably because it's the most tailor-focused anime highschool weeaboo's dream shit ever, but whatever man it's still fun.
Man, P4G is so great. I planned to go NG+ to see the other options etc but I don't think I can because
I can't bring myself to romance anyone other than Chie
DDS was a much better ride
Argilla puts all Persona girls to shame as well.
As far as I know
>pretty funny because Yu is deadpan as fuck
>dub is as good as in the game
>animation is shit
>everything has an ugly gradient effect on it
Don't bother with the P4G animation, I've watched it all and half of it was just straight up terrible. It even manages to be uglier than the first whenever Marie is not onscreen
Most of 4chan will shit all over it but it's still a good representation of the game. Sure you don't see everything the game actually offers since it's a 25 episodes +OVA anime, but it does a good job for what it can.
don't make the same mistake that me and others made. Play the game first before watching the anime.
I haven't watched the Golden anime but I'm waiting until I get the Golden ending in NG+. I heard it's Marie pandering so take that as you will
>All the people in this thread talking shit on Marie
OP here, did you guys just not blaze through her SL to get it done with? She wasn't nearly as bad as everyone said, but they were definitely pandering to the Ramona Summers, and Zooey Deschnael lovers of the world with her character. Soon as that first bit of poetry showed up on the floor of the Velvet room, I made it a priority to get her out of the way ASAP.
I have a subfile inside my QUALITY folder just for P4A
When you've also played the original release, it's very clear how forcibly she was shoehorned into the game, which makes every shitty line of dialogue that much more jarring. For those people, it feels even more like you're being forced to endure her presence, which you are, of course.
As long as the characters are developed outside of their social links and don't go act like massive hypocrites when faced with a moral dilemma, I'll be more than satisfied.
Plus, there's actually dungeon design this time around.
I could've easily done it but I made Waifu and permanent party members priority. Honestly I had planned to get the good ending first and in NG+ make sure to get her and Adachi done first. Really NG+ will get everything done.
I got to like rank 4 and she's a cringey character. It's shame since she has such a good design
I know I miss Marie's dungeon and Adachi stuff but I don't mind
At first she just comes off as shitty Marie sue etc with a particularly annoying flavor of tsundere. That said, I can kinda forgive her S links being so blatantly shoehorned in because, well, they're adding onto an already complete game. That and she has
mythological loreimplications that make sense. I liked her more by the end of the game because of that.
>there's actually dungeon design
I wouldn't speak so soon. What he said in the interview was that there were specific parts that are always the same, and also randomized parts,
which is exactly how it was in both Persona 3 and Persona 4.It does look vastly improved, judging from the trailer, but I don't think we've seen enough to call it conclusive.
You did the right thing. Is not worth it.
I find it funny how the P4 anime is poorly animated, low budget trash filled to the brim with QUALITY, while the P3 movie is one of the best vidya adaptions out there.
How the hell did that happen?
>mfw this started playing
this is actually mfw people just assume it's going to be bad based on nothing
My only requests for P5 are the following
1. If they are going add in a relationship system, they need to make it more in depth then 4 was where once you max a girls SL, that was it. They need to keep an incentive going to keep hanging out with that girl, and additional bits. Maybe a special skill thats granted for keeping a steady relationship for more then 3 months, 6 months, the whole year. They also need to make shit go down more frequently if you decide to go out with more then one person at a time, and it needs to have consequences. I know P3 had this, but they need to bring it back.
2. I hope we get more then a year to play, or at least, smaller time skips. It was lame how it would skip from November to December like it did, and how midterms would jump you a week ahead.
I suppose having low expectations is more likely to make you happy with the result if it ends up being good.
Now these are actually sensible requests. And I assume they're very much so attempting to revamp the S.Link system. At least, that's what it sounds like.
>Such great characters (in b4 P3 lovers that hate P4)
Present. Though to be honest, I don't hate P4. I've just never been more disappointed in my life.
I expected character growth and the characters (specifically The Investigation Team) actually regressed as the story went on. I expected natural relationship building while instead I got treated to (again The Investigation Team) dickriding you the entire game.
There are some really great moments in the game. Confronting Adachi in P4G was extremely tense and Nanako's dungeon was straight up heartbreaking. However, I just can't excuse how shallow everything past that is. It's like "Oh shit, the games getting serious now," only to have you realize that the Investigation Team is absolutely fucking retarded when they have no business being so with what they've experienced. I was highly enjoying the game up until that point.
A real curve ball would be that the game detected who your waifu is through the game, and at the end she gets kidnapped, and even worse
She was one of the mains in your party)
Dissenting =/= hating
You can appreciate the merits and the shortcomings of something and still enjoy it.
And while I like P4, it is full of shortcomings, specially compared against P3
>listening to the song
>that sudden strong urge to play p4g again
>getting kinda depressed because I know that a second playthrough will never be as magical as the first one.
I hate that feel so much
I think 2 years might feel like it's dragging on a little bit, but I might be wrong. Maybe it would be cool.
That said, will this be the longest Persona game yet? Persona 3 and 4 already excel beyond 70 hours on your first playthrough. I can only imagine how fucking long Persona 5 will be, let alone if they make it 2 years instead of 1.
If they only make it a year and only allow for one thing to be done after school, then it's only gonna be the same length. The only real way to extend the play time is to extend the game beyond a year, or allow you to do more then one thing after school, 2 things after school, and on a day off, allow for 3 things.
I really REALLY hope they add more mini games like bug catching and fishing. Like if they add sports clubs, and events, it's like a little mini game. And similar to the flying saucer in FF7 you can replay them.
ALRIGHT YOU NIGGERS I NEED HELP:
There was this youtube channel of this guy who went to various settings in Japan, and he recorded high quality videos and sound and posted them on the internet. They didn't have a purpose other then to be comfy. They were typically 15-20 minutes long I think.
Some of the settings were
>Tokyo idle chatter and cars
>Tokyo subway idle chatter
>Country side wind and trees
>Japanese dock workings
>Japanese small town wind chimes, cars, a few locals talking
Shit was comfy as fuck, I'd like to listen to it again if I could find it.
>yfw year 1 ends with an ICBM launch and demons pouring out the wazoo
>tfw we're gonna get a remixed version of Burn My Dread -last battle- and Memories of You
Searching "Tokyo ambience" gives a shitload of results. This guy in particular has videos of a bunch of cities but some of them have music overlaid, which I'm not particularly fond of.
Na, not him. The guy I found awhile ago was very careful to make sure his sound quality was good, even in the cities it was still attractive to the ear. Also, he loved doing small towns and villages.
Imagining Harvest Moon levels of content makes my head spin. I wouldn't want it in persona, but YHVH smite me now if a mainline title with a progression system in the vein of RF4 wouldn't be GOTYAY.
The 3rd one seems likely, "enjo kosai" type girl.
The other 2, dunno. Persona seems like escapism for otaku/neets, and when they are represented it's pic related.
>mfw Burn My Dread -Last Battle- kicked in for the first time
I don't think I've grooved so much and gotten goosebumps at the same time.
At the very least the cafe/hideout looks comfy as fuck.
do you guys think that japanese people in their early 20's wish they were born in the land of Freedom or The king/Queen?
I know it's natural to want to live where you don't, but those niggers seriously seem to have it better then here in burgerland.
I know that a lot of japanese are totaly interested in germany for some reason. So much that they even save all their vacation days to spend them here. As a german I can't understand that at all.
I hope so. Does look very comfy. I also don't mind mingling in hectic city areas too. I hope interactivity is big.
Some do. But then there are people like me who made the continental leap. I miss Japland. I don't miss the extreme pricing on entertainment goods though.
HEY GUYS TRINITY SOUL ANY GOOD? PLZ RESPOND
Do they not know about Bruges or something?
It's in Belgium
Bruges is pretty freaking fantastic, yeah.
Self loathing seems to be a big European thing these days with liberals running the continental culture ragged and shooting for some world culture.
I don't know if you were thinking of ASMR, but this guy fits the bill otherwise.
