You're right with that. The Spin-Offs ruin the characters either by just letting them stagnate and overstay their welcome like in Arena, or flat-out turning them into jokes like in PQ

It eases the pain of getting disconnected by such a great and relaxing experience, but it ruins the experience in retrospect so keep off them if you can.

1. If they are going add in a relationship system, they need to make it more in depth then 4 was where once you max a girls SL, that was it. They need to keep an incentive going to keep hanging out with that girl, and additional bits. Maybe a special skill thats granted for keeping a steady relationship for more then 3 months, 6 months, the whole year. They also need to make shit go down more frequently if you decide to go out with more then one person at a time, and it needs to have consequences. I know P3 had this, but they need to bring it back.

2. I hope we get more then a year to play, or at least, smaller time skips. It was lame how it would skip from November to December like it did, and how midterms would jump you a week ahead.

Present. Though to be honest, I don't hate P4. I've just never been more disappointed in my life.

I expected character growth and the characters (specifically The Investigation Team) actually regressed as the story went on. I expected natural relationship building while instead I got treated to (again The Investigation Team) dickriding you the entire game.

There are some really great moments in the game. Confronting Adachi in P4G was extremely tense and Nanako's dungeon was straight up heartbreaking. However, I just can't excuse how shallow everything past that is. It's like "Oh shit, the games getting serious now," only to have you realize that the Investigation Team is absolutely fucking retarded when they have no business being so with what they've experienced.
