>against a boss
Sorry, you got the wrong place.
Welcome to Weenie /v/ General. How casual are you?
I hope you don't think bomb is OP or something. It's one of the worst in the game. There are tons of other abilities that kill enemies in one hit faster than the bomb does.
Cutter is by far the best ability in the entire game.
>Cutter is by far the best ability in the entire game.
Hammer is good too but cutter is quicker and has a better moveset, and can more easily be obtained. Hammer is better against bosses.
Yo-yo is actually pretty weak. Sometimes it will take 2 hits to kill common enemies.
Literally what the fuck, I'm pretty sure I beat this easily as a five or six year old. Using Bomb.
When you have both of the best abilities in the game right there, there's nothing to complain about.
Geez, not even Marx is that difficult.
What? When i was playing this i literally thought nothing of this area, the idea that this was difficult never even occurred to me. The fuck is this?
My Link amiibo has become a faggot that runs to the other side of the stage and just spams projectiles and then just dodge/grabs when you get close.
I have yet to beat him at this state.
Hes probably the hardest fight when first starting the game, theres no easy way to cheese him and if your not prepared you'll just get rekt over and over again. Plus trying to kill him with plunging attacks is a test in anger management.
He's gonna kick your shit in if you're new. For gargoyles you can summon Solaire. For goatfag you can just walk up the stairs. For gaping you can summon AND his attacks are easy to avoid. Until O&S there's no boss that you can't just easily beat by grinding, summoning, or both.
I agree. Also some of the moves that are in other games, like Beam for example, dont have all the moves they do in Superstar.
I loved yo-yo, fighter, mirror, bird, ninja, copy (when im Helper)
that game had so much shit
Because it's the first, and only real challenge in the game.
Most other bosses you can summon for, or you can cheese them. Taurus Demon is your first real challenge, and you're 100% on your own.
First time through, Taurus Demon will probably be the hardest boss in the game. On subsequent playthroughs he's a chump, but that first time he's one of the hardest.
This is a joke right? You can duck right under either I hope you know while even still attacking. Dont even have to float. Whatever this has to be bait. No one would single out the easiest boss when there actually are ones that are a little difficult.
>anything to do with Nintendo Power,
Well, I guess that's true, you don't know exactly how the bosses of that game work or how they feel at that point. Now I can just run up to him with the lightning pine resin and kill him in a few hits.
>People making ability tiers in this thread
>Actually suggesting to premiumly use one single ability because its OP
This is not what i joined a kirby thread for
Its a cute fucking game where you make a little buddy and kiss him to share health
Mirror was the shit. Too bad it's so inferior from a meta perspective
fucking Hammer, Jet, Bird and Yo-Yo dominating everything
This is how you defend this bullshit?
Any ability where its someones favorite and they use it all the time, YES i fucking bet you that they can do arena with that ability you say is shit
If you're new, anything will kick your ass if you're not cheating scum and it's a blind run. Once you've played the game one or twice, Taurus demon is the biggest fucking joke. Run through the undead area, grab the gold pine resin behind the locked door, hit the demon four times with it applied and you win. Usually he can't get a hit off because of the insane stagger.
Even more so that he is that he's completely optional.
My first blind ds run I got raped by the taurus demon like 36 goddam times. Second run not even once. Meanwhile I never understood why fatty and skinny were considered hard. Never took me more than 1-2 tries. But magic was ez mode for that game.
If you've played the game, you can see that she's just bad at it. Her reflexes are slow and she draws lines all in the wrong places, almost intentionally. It's a lot easier than she describes it/makes it look like.
Seems like half her complaints are just her being bad at the game.
people that own only nofriendo consoles get really butthurt when their games aren't rated 10/10 or higher.
I don't remember if it's the Copy ability or Tac as a friend, but one of those two is strait up broken. High damaging fast hits, easily the most powerful ability in the game against anything that doesn't have an ability to copy.
Like if I get something like "SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS-FULL SEASON whatever" and it turns out to be spam.
/mlp/ and /vp/ have lists for where you can download episodes. why doesn't /co/ have one for Spongebob?
>not using the pugilist of legends, Knuckle Joe
IIRC Tornado was in Adventure, Amazing Mirror, Squeak Squad, Canvas Curse, Air Ride, and maybe Dream Land 3 (I'm not sure)
I haven't played Return or TD so I can't speak for those
>implying that makes you a casual
That takes more skill than switching to a different weapon for specific monsters because I makes the monster fight easier.
Using one weapon type is dedication, and takes skill and patience, as opposed to using the easiest means to each end.
Whenever I get my ass handed to me in competitive games,
I get really depressed and just quit the game
Except for Air Ride, all Kirby games are slow. Shit's supposed to be slow and easy. HAL has said in the past that anyone should be able to beat Kirby games. It's the damn point
I don't fight anyone in world of warcraft unless I can tell they're wearing full pve gear while I'm decked out in full pvp gear with optimum enchants and consumables, and I get every advantage on them as possible
there wasn't any tornado in TD as far as i remember, in fact the closest of a tornado power was one of the attack of the leaf power, which i think is also from return to dreamland
i should really start playing RTD since i pick it up 4 months ago for cheap.
>yfw HAL made a non kirby game recently
>its a japanese eshop exclusive
Why the FUCK did no one tell me about this and when is it coming to the west?
If your opponent was way better than you, it helps to tell yourself that he's probably an aspie with no life who spends all day playing the game and the majority of the time, it's true
>Kirby games are designed as a beginner's series
>Most recent traditional game throws like 5 boss battles back to back at the end of the game, all with a large assortment of attacks.
>Most "hardcore" games have nothing but a QTE for a final boss, if it has one at all.
What the fuck happened?
Tornado is in RtDL, its pretty OP for the true arena due to all the invincibility frames
It has an extra finisher wave at the end of the normal attack if you shake the remote during the attack, so you get more damage but a tired hand
We are now in an age where Kirby games are considered 'hard'
>Kirby's Adventure is now considered 'Nintendo hard'
Kirby is meant as a video game for beginners. It's still, however, a video game through and through. It rewards the player with more challenging stages if they make it past the end.
Games with QTEs for bosses aren't really made to be video games as much as interactive experiences, more often than not. They aren't trying to make a video gamey game that follows those conventions.
they can still have challenge.
he forgot the second part of kirby design, not just make it beatable for everyone, but have something more hardcore players can enjoy, and I've got quotes to back it up
>At first glance, it has mass appeal and casts a broad net, but you can enjoy feverous action. A lot of a Kirby game's appeal is in its cute and amusing appearance, but the action is surprising and the setting deep and the developments thrilling.
>I think the essence of Kirby lies in its broad appeal and the way both adults and children can enjoy its depth. When we make a game, we pay attention to ease in play in the first half and sudden increased tension in the second half.
>We designed the games to have a high degree of freedom so that even core action game fans could play it again and again and still enjoy it. We’ve had core Kirby fans in Japan for a long while, and they have followed the various different play styles we adopted, but there are still going to be people selecting Kirby as their first action game.
>We take the utmost care in making the game so that we meet the needs of both of these groups of users. Because of this, I think if someone thinking it was simply a game aimed at children took a chance and tried it out, they would find it surprisingly deep.
>Get to first boss
>Typical Whispy think nothing of get
>Knock it down to about 60% health
>Cut scene of it raging
>Suddenly adds 5-6 brand new attacks to its pool and starts being able to kick my ass
And EVERY boss is like this. Why can't more game do this shit?
I really don't see what's wrong with this review.
GameXplain are massive Nintendo fanboys, of course they'd like this game, they'd like any Nintendo game that comes out for the Wii U or 3DS.
TD had the best bosses in the series
pyribbit included, I have no fucking idea how Kumazaki plans to top this shit but I'm excited to see him do it
That's pretty much the only problem with Pyribbit, but people blow it out of proportion like hes the worst thing in the series, as if one challenging but annoying aspect invalidates all the crazy attacks and shit he's got
But even when you're thinking of time he provides an interesting challenge, to maximize damage as much as possible within those small windows of time
Kirby is confirmed illegal alien on both anime and game canon, Dedede is within his right to want to deport him
Why not? no one was ruling so he took it upon himself to do it, he has an army, he protects the land's fountain of dreams and even expanded the kingdom by himself in Dedede tour, taking down a ruler to do it, you also don't see anyone protesting his rule
He also stole all his citizens food one day because he was hungry. The citizens don't do anything because he has giant hammer that he beats people with when they talk shit.
Dedede is cool, but not a good ruler.
Kine always had the best powerups.
Wait, they had another game with animal buddies? Where the fuck was I when that happened?
I don't know, where were you back in january 2014?
