Xillia 1 is an unfinished, unpolished game. Only reason you might want to play it is for Xillia 2 which is a lot better.

Graces F is hit or miss, but it has some of the most content in a Tales of game.

For Zestiria, its mostly hated by Japs for being buggy and with DLCs taken to a new level for Bamco (Cut-off content and false advertising). I haven't played it so i can't say my opinions of it.

I don't know, Ludger might be broken as fuck, and locked in your party, but atleats he's fun as fuck to play. I still do use Rowen because of Tidal Wave spam, as well as, Gaius. I thought Xillia 2's story was above average for the typical Tales of game though; it had pretty nice world building, but the game is terrible at telling you this.

Their spells look boring and lack umph, Xillia's spells in particular. I mean Phillia's Indignation inverses colors for a second. Cheria's did that too but not to the same degree. Graces had really fun spells too but you couldn't go crazy with them unless you got lucky with Pascal's insta-cast summons skill. Or if you played as Accel Mode Richard.

I didn't even know Zestiria was headed for PC. I'm guessing it will just be a straight up port so its fundamental issues will still be there. Though I wonder if local co-op will still be in.

I am almost done with the game I finished beating Simone so only Heldarf is left.

Gotta say this is indeed one of the weakest tales of.It does have more contents and way better music than Xillia or most tales of for that matter but the most important part of the series the battle system is really bad.Even if it didn't have those technical problem the gameplay would still rank low among the rest of the series.

If I were to listen to the soundtrack again I couldn't assing each track to each boss. It's just background noise, almost every track sounds like taurus demon. Yes there are some unique tracks, I think the one with the Crypt-Defenders was good, but thats literally the only track I remember. Videogame soundtracks can be more than just background music

I've listened to the Dark Souls1 soundtrack a lot and I still probably couldn't assign each track to each boss. The Soundtrack for Demons Souls sounded a lot "crappier" than the DaS-OSTs but they actually had personality and variety. Thats what I'm missing with most of Sakurabas songs

I can't really judge DaS2's music because I haven't heard all of it. And I can't remember any of the boss tracks to be honest. Are the Crypt Defenders those egyptian statue-looking guys? I do remember that their theme was pretty hype.

I can remember most tracks from DaS1 but with both of them the ones that stuck out the most were the ones in their main menus.

You're right though, DeS had a very unique sound to it, whereas in DaS1 and 2 some boss tracks just blend together. Although you can hear in DaS clearly how Sakuraba sometimes tries to imitate DeS' music a bit, at least with the Nameless Song, compare that to Return to Slumber, it's pretty similar. Or the Bell Gargoyles theme sounds pretty DeS too at times. But overall I think the main difference is that you can hear the dramatic increase in budget from DeS to DaS.

I don't think there's anything wrong at all with Sakuraba's music in Souls, it's his darkest composition and some of the best music ever. (maybe)
