Anomen is one of the few examples in vidya I can think of of an 'annoying' party member done right.

He's entertaining as fuck to keep around because of his little quips and whines and how the other characters mock the shit out of him, and he's pretty strong to boot.

Pair him with Keldorn, he'll be less of a douche.
Actually just dump Anomen completely and use Keldorn + Minsc, much better interactions, much better characters, much better everything.

It's worth it if Keldorn is with you

Never included him in my party. For me it was almost always my berserker, korgan, minsc, imoen/nalia, aerie and Viconia/Edwin.

Keldorn is a reasonable man, but he's still a paladin.
Viconia is a drow.
Viconia is also a huge smartass and loves to provoke him constantly with petty remarks.
It's like a mouse fucking with a snake, sooner or later it's gonna get eaten.
