Hell, i'd say it's one of the greatest games ever.

Every single thing they set out to do in this game was nailed. The mechanics and controls were perfect, the story was fucking awesome, the soundtrack was flawless, the multiplayer was equal measures unique, fun, and balanced, the graphics were great for their time (And still look good compared to some of the sludge we get these days), etc etc.

I think that was the first time WoW blew my mind. The human starting zone was obviously blocked off by mountains, but seeing an open area with no noticeable borders was a complete shock.

I feel sorry for the players that started when WoW first introduced zoned areas. What once was open and free, suddenly had bluish transparent walls.
