Stealth is useless and boring in all but the most complex RPGs, you just make the game slower for yourself in most cases and they are clearly solo classes in games based around party combat

KOTOR 2 allows for a much more varied choice of playstyles. anything is viable, even hand to hand, and it actually looks cool as shit. Besides, after you hit level 15 or so (about half the game) it becomes trivially easy. KOTOR 1 and 2 are like Morrowind for me in that the combat takes a back seat to the story/world.

Probably the worst one in the entire series.

The act 1 rogues in Diablo 2 are completely useless. Actually so are every other merc aside from the act 2 aurabots, and usually you only wanted the ones on Nightmare with Might or some other useful aura.

In the original game, once they died, you had to go back and hire another. With the LoD expansion they'll stick around, gain levels, and you can give them some gear, but they still wander off and die pretty quickly even on the lower difficulties.

In Diablo 3 I have yet to find a use for the other two mercs. The crusader is useful for the free heal / stun, that's about it.

Almost everything late game kills you pretty quick either way, so why does this matter?

Pretty much every human companion in Mass Effect. All the humans in that series are shit-tier with the exception of maybe Zaeed and Kasumi.

The only real glaring flaw of an otherwise solid shooter game.

One of the things which made HL1 great was the sense of isolation and almost complete lack of cutscenes. The entire narrative is driven through the gameplay in some way.
In HL2 you're basically led around the nose by her through the majority of it. This is really evident in speedruns where the game basically becomes a slideshow.
