>tfw I got this on humble bundle now my steam library is plagued by it
Even if the game is OK I don't want to support the creator.
I won't even pirate his shit,
>he had to have people who founded his company be the judges for his game to win awards
It's kinda cute. The main game is easy as fuck. 100% it without a guide requires you to be literally autistic, such as solving the red heart puzzles.
Pretty standard indie crap
>Unable to separate a creator from the creation
>Thinking that Fish was the only one worked on this project
It's a really good game, /v/. One that was hyped here before we actually knew who Phil Fish was.
If you like Captain Toad, Monument Valley and echochrome then there is little reason to hate this game. Bringing up Phil Fish is a non sequitur.
I love /v/'s attitude of:
> "I won't support game X because of creator/developer/publisher Y"
Leave your le ethical self-righteousness bullshit in the toilet, and play some FUCKING VIDEO GAMES.
It's pretty good and comfy. Great sound track. Completing crit path isn't too hard, but getting 100% of the puzzles solved is very challenging and will take a fair amount of devotion. It's a puzzle game first and foremost, not a platformer, so death means very little as you just respawn nearby.
I liked it, and had fun finding the little secret passages and rooms scattered around. It really scratched my exploration itch.
I couldn't figure out that fucking in-game map, so I dropped it. Maybe if I had the damn time to sit there and play through it in one go I wouldn't need the map, but I don't. That map is one confusing clusterfuck.
Do you even know what that word means?
I bought it when it was in a humble bundle. Was pretty boring to be honest. I mean the concept was neat and the character is kind of cute, but the whole meta story detracts from it's charm and the puzzles aren't all that interesting.
That wasn't directed towards you. I was insulting much of /v/'s userbase that doesn't actually come here to talk about games.
Some people come here for the /b/. Others come here for drama that has nothing to do with video games.
>It's ok to misuse words because it's a meme!
>There's LITERALLY (LEL MISUSING WORDS XDD) NO OTHER PLACE ON THE INTERNET WHERE THEY MISUSE THIS WORD BECAUSE OF US! THERE'S NO NEGATIVE REPERCUSSIONS! WE'RE TOTALLY NOT DESTROYING THE LANGUAGE!
I know what you mean. When I learn that games I don't want to play are made by people who make games I don't want to play, I want to play them even less. Then I learn that the game that I want to play even less is made by someone who makes games that I want to play even less, making me want to play them even more less. It's a vicious cycle.
which is why it was terrible.
I have no problem with devs labeling their shit as a game, but i'm going to judge whether or not it's good on the basis of how good it's gameplay is.
You can have the deepest, most amazing choose your own adventure story ever, but if you label it a game then it's just a shitty game
>mfw I bought Fez in the Humble Bundle
>mfw I moved the Fez slider to 0%
>all my bundles are humble tips
I really like this loss picture! Do you mind if I can save it?
