I was thinking about this story the other day /v/
Is the super computer what the title is actually about? I know the main character by the end of the story literally has no mouth to scream from. But the computer is the thing trapped, unable to do literally anything to itself. It'd be like if a parapelgic person were kept alive for forever. The brain works, one can think, but the computer can't move on its own, can't end it's own life, anything like that. It has control over conditions that affect others but not over what affects itself.
Anyway I love the story, never played the game tho.

I found the idea of the nearly-dead alien planet, extinct alien civilization and human experimentation really dark and disheartening. There's not much comfort in this game.

a friend of mine told me it's a really good adventure game. The puzzles are not very hard, in case that's what you're into, but the atmosphere is perfect, it really gets to you.
