Double campaign, one where you are a republic commando post movies working for the empire slowly realizing the detrimental effect youre having on the galaxy as a whole and one where you're a jedi apprentice whose master dies and you set out to do the obvious jedi stuff like fight sith apprentices and eventually face off against a sith lord. The two characters eventually realizing theres more going on in the galaxy than thier own personal agendas and work together to dismantle the empire. FPS gameplay for the trooper, Action hack and slash for the Jedi. Sure the different gameplay sttyles will suffer from having to fit in one game but this is supposed to be ideal, right?

You get a ship and a crew of unsavory individuals but with a charm.

Combat skills and stats are in play for people who like shooty bang bang gameplay and don't want to use the force. Magic is Jedi and Sith based force powers instead.
Lightsaber mastery is difficult if you don't have a good base stat for force powers.
No alignment requirements for any powers. Only stat requirements.

On Coruscant.
Story is based around Imperial corruption funding gangs and the black market to weaken the local government. You can side with Empire, Gangs(this would get a bit deeper if pursued), Ilicit Merchants, Local Government, Yourself, The Citizens, Rebels. No true "Enemy Faction". You make the beds you lie in.

The issue lies in making Coruscant playable. Dense population, multi tier districts, and an overall massive size must be staples. Having the depth and precision of a TES game would require tech we don't have, yet.

You catch some low level criminals on your planet, then save up your earnings to buy an upgrade a ship, unlock new planets across the galaxy. Get and modify new gear like weapons/gadgets/vehicles, build up a web of contacts, buy and modify a droid to help you with small tasks like ship maintenance or large tasks like dogfighting. Eventually start getting contracted by big galactic players like Black Sun or The Hutts.

A "career/story" mode where you build your racer, build your pod and can walk around in the cities that the podracing takes place.
The whole time you could be a bounty hunter or something and winning races would allow you to progress the story or unlock things for you to use during your bounty hunting days.
Although sometimes I think bounty hunting is everywhere in star wars so maybe its a different type of story.

Aside from none of the characters standing out at all (and a couple of them being outright shit), the fact that they made a Star Wars show that takes place exclusively on one boring backwater planet is possibly the worst idea ever. They even have a perfectly fine ship with which to travel wherever they want and they never really bother to use it. It's such a complete waste. That'd be like making a Lord of the Rings show and only having it be about the shire.

Open world bounty hunter game, set between the end of A New Hope, and sometime after The Return of the Jedi. Players can buy their weapons, customize their appearance, and can even take part in space battles with their star ship. (Which can also be upgraded.) They'll also have several bases across the galaxy that they can customize/upgrade.

You'll transport cargo/people, protect people, assassinate people, gather intelligence, etc. Rival bounty hunters (possibly other players) can also come after you, ideally with the more notable bounty hunters bringing some sort of gimmick to make them unique and force you to think outside the box.

You'll take contracts for both the Rebels and the Empire, but some missions will ultimately conflict with one another, forcing you to choose between the two. A friend "on the inside" would see to it that neither side knows which contract you pick up until the very end. At that point, if you helped one side more than the other, the final set of missions is to either damage the Empire even more after the Battle of Endor, or to impede the Rebels and give the Empire a chance to rebuild/go into hiding.

If one ends of going "neutral", however (in that they helped both sides pretty equally). then they're forced to basically fight for their survival as both sides send their agents (preferably your Empire/Rebel contacts) to arrest/kill you.

There would also be a set of secret "Dark Side" missions, which if completed would open up ending missions that have you cripple the leadership of the Alliance, while also deposing of the surviving leadership of the Empire. The latter is then taken over by a then-unknown Sith, who takes you in to subjugate the rest of the galaxy.
