that's exactly how I play with tetra and maka on flynn and I still lost against bosses just because if you're unlucky and use the wrong element, many bosses can 1 shot you, especially in early game when you have less demons that can null/rpl/drain

Meh, didn't bother giving Flynn the protection spells. Felt like a waste of damage to spend time casting them with Flynn. I just pumped all stats into Ma and some in Ag and he was hitting for 3x the damage a single demon would do. I just made sure my demons could buff, heal and had some elemental spells for those extra turns so Flynn could strong arm every single boss fight within a few turns.

I spent 2h to beat Kenji only to chose the worst ending that you get right away after him by accident. I had to fight him for 1 more hour to go past him. Even with Alice in my team that nullifies every ailment. The curse spell is actually the most powerful I've ever seen in any SMT game
