>new Japanese video game on Steam
>it has a 150+ years old demon who looks like a little girl
Why can't there be MORE games like that?
Is it more of a multiplayer game? How's the combat system?
Can be played solo, but the point of the Steam release is the lobbies for multiplayer.
The combat is pretty simple to understand and you can do combos in it. There's a wiki that had a small list of combos for some characters but it's not very complete at all.
Pretty good. I'll give it a closer look.
But really I'm just hoping censorship does not stick around as technology advances and games look more realistic and immersive, like after five generations of oculus or something.
It doesn't even matter on PC much.
If they censor assets, you can just replace them(See the original Witcher US release which omitted the topless vampires, dryad, sex cards etc). If a company omitted a single short scene because it was too 'gross' a fan would probably add it back or unlock it.
Though I guess it depends how moddable the game is.
Imo shoddy localization is even worse than censorship, though.
You don't. Because this
>act like a kid?
The same reason you shouldn't take most adults serious even though they're between 21-80 when they act like little kids. For example saying shit like respect your elders or I know because I'm older or other logical failures that demonstrate their inability to comprehend and think at a level higher than an average six year old.
Their looks have nothing to do with it however, how they act is. Though the definition of 'acting like a little kid' is the issue. Playing games, having fun or being light hearted are not little kid things they are people things. Acting like a little kid is being intellectually incapable, emotionally unstable or lacking in ability to obtain knowledge and possibly lacking knowledge to some degree.
In the end it's about the principle. It gives me a bad after tastes when a game is censored and I'm forced to mod back the original content in. It makes it less likely for me to be willing to support the company translating the game at all.
Buy games that aren't censored like this one or Xseed releases, don't buy games that are censored. It's as simple as that.
Of course it won't get the message through to publishers 100% of the time (see: NISA) but if it doesn't, it will at least cause them to go under (see: NISA).
they censored that game too? last Nisa game I bought was D3 vita since they don't do Atelier or Neptunia anymore and their localization are full with censorship now. Was considering DD2 and D4 Vita but I have heard they both have crashes/bugs
They've had to lay off employees and have basically lost all relevance. A lot of companies are steering clear of them because they've created such a stigma around themselves due to their abysmal localizations that even Japan has taken notice.
No company is going to want NISA to localize their game if they have another option at this point. Every single release they've done is either full of bugs, censored as fuck, has an absolutely shitty script, or any combination of the three.
All I need is for NISA to go under and XSEED to announce that they're localizing Ooedo Blacksmith and I'm all good. XSEED might be slow as molasses in their localization work, but at least they're bros.
We had this thread yesterday
It was nothing but weebs fighting with shitposters by using gets and anime reaction images, and about 5 posts total were about the game.
Just admit that not even target audience cares about it.
This whole young girls as sexual objects thing makes me uncomfortable.
I was looking on tpb for sayaa irie vids, and downloaded a few without looking at them. She was fucking 12 in one of them. 12. C'mon japan.
So basically Atlus kicked out their worst members?
I mean look at their lastest game.
None of that makes me happy, because I wont get a good version of D4 Vita.
But it makes me happy because NISA will soon be shut out of the market by developers, publishers, and their customers, which will prevent them from shitting up anything else noteworthy, hopefully.
It wouldn't matter because somehow AGTP would handle the translation. It would take a decade to complete. And it would have a terrible script, words misspelled, names, locations, and words translated incorrectly, and at random times all the text would disappear and the UI would glitch out.
And nobody else'll touch the game out of respect for Ghideon Zhi.
You get this only because I didn't have a properly named screenshot of "open gate."
OH IT'S ON STEAM? YES!
It's a great game except for the fact that lock-on needs fixing and three-hit strings can stunlock.
In short: we need more magical girl on steam.
>B-But she's 10,000 year old!
Does anyone into loli actually use this excuse unironically? I've got no problem admitting to people here I jack off to drawings of anime kids.
SRW3 is a mess with poor translations, and bad spelling.
Alpha Gaiden is just a mess. Your UI constantly glitches out and the text will disappear.
Alpha is probably going to be it's very own universe of clusterfuck even after 8+ years of work.
Slightly related, but in a DnD game I played in my 40s, I did something akin to it; a shapeshifter who could easily shift into most forms, so he ran around as a little girl a lot because most people would ignore him. In his backstory, spent many years in hiding going from orphanage to orphanage as a little girl to hide from someone he pissed off.
Respect in the sense that nobody is going to do their own version of the two SRW translations he did and make them not suck, I guess.
The guys who did J should get hired on for this kind of work. It was downright professional, and you hardly see work of that caliber in the fan translation scene.
That's the point.
You can't claim to want freedom of expression with no one's boundaries imposed on you only to shit yourself with anger when you see big bouncing tits in a DOA game.
But that's what SJWs do.
>forgotten in time like Rome or Cambodia or Arls.
Because they're totally lost to us and their history totally isn't a billion-dollar tourist industry, right?
I wish THESE Japanese games were on Steam instead.
i think you misplaced this topic.
It's the full version. Comiket had 2 versions, one being more complete. It's also translated with a non-shitty multiplayer (I personally never managed to get the flysystem work ever).
>with a non-shitty multiplayer
I might get it then. Magical Battle Arena was fun.
Speaking of doujin titles, I wish Steam could get Melty Blood and Ragnarok Battle Offline games.
I actually played that game a bit along with
Never tried their multiplayer on it though. Either way the Steam version has steam lobby instead of using flysystem network which apparently needs you to know the IP of your friends. Also it would seem you also need to register on the flysystem network site too? I dunno.
