I thought it was concrete because of the stain near the back left table leg, it looked like the kind of staining my garage concrete gets from water leakage. I had no idea it was carpet. I'm still not entirely convinced it's carpet to be honest.

Yeah, I've obtained a lot more games, shelves, etc; over the years and thus why everything looks a little more cramped in the newer photo. Which is another reason why I'm selling my home and looking to upgrade for more space.

Depends on the area. NZ had Kim "Megaupload" Dotcom funding their net for a while. As a whole the south pacific is decades behind in infrastructure, and the governments don't seem to be interested or willing to do anything about it.
