Pendulums are pretty easy actually. There are two new zones. You can set a scale with two pendulum cards. The scale allows you to special summon any number of monsters whose level is between the scales from your hand once per turn.
Pendulum monsters from the field go to the extra deck and not to the graveyard and can be pendulum summoned again as if they were in your hand

Actually they are pretty balanced. For high scales you usually need 2 cards of a specific archtype and otherwise the scale become pretty shit. Also if you use too many high level monsters you're just risking dead draws.

Jack in Over the Nexus isn't half bad as a partner, provided you build your deck entirely around Red Dragon Archfiend. Vice Dragon + Dark Resonator = RDA. Then summon Deep Sea Diva (he actually uses this card) and make Red Nova Dragon. If you got a Lv4 monster out and have a Lv3 Tuner in the grave, play Dark Bug and sync into a Lv8 (preferably RDA.) The Resonators are Fiends so you can also have Chaos King Archfiend and Dark Highlander in your Extra Deck.

I played a Junk deck in that game mainly and could play it way better than Yusei's AI ever did. In Tag Force 6(?), I actually seen Yusei use Foolish Burial to dump a Quillbolt Hedgehog and then SET Junk Synchron!

Too bad I don't own Tag Force. Yusei's deck in the last DS game is utter crap. It's apparently based around Stardust but he almost NEVER brings it out and what he usually summons are Gravekeeper's Spies, Mist Valley Soldiers, and set Tuningwares. One time he brought out Junk Warrior without any other monsters out and I just killed it. Shooting Star Dragon is his "key card" but I never seen it come out yet.

Kain plays a deck that forces you to have no hand which makes me ill just thinking about it, Crow plays Blackwings which are totally OP imo, and Aki plays Plants which are just...boring. My favorite partner is still Jack because even if Red Dragon goes to hell, he still packs main deck beatsticks like Luster Dragon, Stronger Wind Dragon, and Lancer Archfiend.

Tried to partner with Brave of Team Ragnarok recently, but the Nordic gods are cumbersome. Still won most of our tag turbo duels with them though.

God one of my favorite games ever was against an amazoness swordswoman. I was against this guy that was doing a soul release, HP gain, fiber jar deck with dragons while I had a Dark Paladin deck. He kept removing all my shit over and over and over again and then resetting the board.

Finally I had 1400 LP left but managed to get Buster Blader and Sasuke Samurai on the field. Buster Blader was at something like 4300 with all the dragons in the guy's graveyard and I just kept hitting his face with Sasuke killing any cards he set, including his fiber jar. He had 800 LP left and top decked his swordswoman. He laughed and ran it into my buster blader, but then I flipped up my facedown trap: skill drain. So he killed himself and I had a cool 400 LP left.

I understand why you would use decks like that but for the sake of having some fun competition i dont use those decks often.

My decks tend to try to make lesser competitive decks competitive as playing Tier Zero and 1 decks against Tier Zero and 1 decks all day is boring as shit. As these decks aren't as good as top tier ones the opponent can hang in there longer and it makes for a fun match
