SMASH 3DS NATIONAL TOURNAMENT
I've not really been following smash too much, but there seems to be some sort of maymay going on in the general where Sakurai said the Wii U version will have more characters?
What's the fastest way of getting custom moves? Most of the time in Classic and Trophy rush, it's equipment nomatter who I use. I've gotten (>2)*equipment wrenches more than I've gotten individual custom moves.
>What makes a stage "legal"?
Factors that make a stage banned:
Especially poor matchup balance by providing a rather extreme advantage for certain characters (such as allowing the character to utilise excessive, gamebreaking camping, or utilise infinite chain throws, as in the case of Fox in Temple for the former, or King Dedede in Shadow Moses Island for the latter).
Allowing players to abuse glitches in the game.
Possessing one or more "caves of life," allowing characters to survive much longer than feasibly possible under usual circumstances, and creating a general over-centralisation on the ability to tech.
Drastically altering gameplay and the strategies needed to win (such as Icicle Mountain and Mario Bros.).
Having a significant amount of slowdown during a match.
Walk-off stages are banned too, so Boxing Ring, for example, won't be legal.
>The world is better off without you!
Kind of makes me want to play KI to figure out what the fucking context is.
This is "esports" style commentating. More professional, more kid and advertiser friendly, etc. Exactly what Nintendo would want.
Traditional smash commentating is just like any FGC commentator. A lot less reserved.
Chests have seemed far apart and few. Not so bad with a strong or fast character, but some characters seem to suck really badly at smash run.
Does SR allow equipment? Maybe I just have to buff everyone's speed to get around the map faster.
Anyways, is Smash Run overall the fastest way to do it?
>Post your face when
Muscleman's actually kind of hot
It's a pretty good game once you get used to the controls.
I have no problems with the roulette. You see what the item is 1 or two before the wrench and hit the button when they seem to come up.
The issue is that I can't seem to get equipment an order of magnitude more than I get custom moves. Am I stupid for not figuring out the metric influencing it?
>post your face whenever someone lives above 150%
Quickly, post how you're watching the stream
If Rosalina wins this game, we're getting Rosalina vs Rosalina in the grand finals. Calling it now.
I mean, I've never managed to beat a Rosalina even once myself. Don't see why this tournament should be any different.
And that was the day every 3ds in the world exploded and Nintendo sank into the ocean.
It's a rat with wings and apparently I'm its mother until it grows up
Did that thing escape a Chinese restaurant, looks like it was almost fried
So how many tryhards do you think have switched to Rosalina in For Glory just because everyone playing as her has so far been been successful?
It's all about having fun anon. Some people like to have fun with Smash by playing it a certain way. They aren't stopping you from gathering people and doing things your way!
>no video stream
>that fuckin music
>tiers in a 3-week-old game
How the fuck do you even pocket a regular 3ds let alone an XL, does your wardrobe only consist of cargo pants?
Also the screen is more durable than you think hingefag. Even the off chance it does break you can buy these little shits off ebay fo fitty bucks a pop nigger.
>Also the screen is more durable than you think hingefag
The RNG boxes are to a big degree predictable. You are in control of when you get items, and there are only a few different items to choose between at any given time, and you can manipulate which item group is avaible.
Items are also relatively easy to avoid, and another thing, luck management is also a skill. Plus, we usually played multiple races with each player, and over time the luck factor is reduced.
It would be better if items were easier to control, and there is much potential in building the game mechanics around this, but Mario Kart already is competitive as it is.
>How the fuck do you even pocket a regular 3ds
The regular 3DS is small as fuck. You can easily carry it in your jeans pockets unless you're a faggot who wears skin tight jeans.
This just goes on to prove how the real the patriarchy is and how much it hurts society. Fucking privileged shitlords.
Stop scratching your screen then, moron.
>Dedede that low
Fucking Christ Eventhubs is cancer
I heard that was even harder to do.
I really wish I could sync a pro controller with my 3DS. The slider is just not fun for me to try precise stuff like that.
Doing a variant of this with Little Mac and some bruisers can create an odd duck and weave motion with a variable movement. I think there will be some cool mindgames out of that.
Probably through specific circumstances that render it relatively useless.
If at all.
Holy shit i didnt even know this was going on
Are they using only custom movesets and smashballs?
Is equipment allowed?
Also is mango, zero, or m2k in this?
>I know my character's the best because I stomp randoms
>Triple D that low
DeDeDe can wreck shit, he is upper-mid tier at least.
So if a captain falcon has a critical hit equipment, wouldn't that just make him top tier
It's true. I'm not that anon.
It's only on the regular 3DS. The bottom screen has that outer rim that pokes up. Because the top screen is wider than the bottom screen that outer rim will scratch the top if you keep your system in an area where it might have more pressure than normal of the two pressing on eachother.
This is coming from someone who owns the regular 3DS and 2 XL's.
Since when is Tingle playable in smash?
Nintendo was very nice in replacing them free of charge and hassle. They also gave out free swag to anyone with problems.
People wear skinny jeans all the fucking time in east coast what fucking meat pipe have you been smoking.
Lemme guess Maine or NH fag right? Go fucking south and see the future
Because the one tournament that was had to determine that tier list is the definitive tier list, right?
I didn't say Jigglypuff was the best. I just said he wasn't D tier.
Pretty much this
My guess is that like E3, Nintendo wanted to stray away from the gaming press through Nintendo Directs
But here, theyre trying to make their own tourney because theyre so butthurt over being rejected from EVO
>MY CONTROLLER WASN'T WORKING GIVE ME YOURS CHEATER
>Getting styled on by a commentator not playing a meta character
Your genuine opinion on the Pac-Maze stage? Think I'm gonna like it more than the Pac-Land stage on the Wii U, that one seems to be a sliding stage.
>shy guys block projectiles
>luma blocks projectiles
>rosalina can suck in projectiles and render them useless
He didn't say it was a bad stage, it was just a bad Samus stage.
Bill really isn't bad. It's a shame he won't win.
Why does one of these commentators hate the other?
>He sucks without his crutch character
Am I the only one that can't enjoy high-level Smash tourney play? I find watching less skilled players honestly more interesting, because high-level play ends up just being a bunch of dodging and jumping.
