Shulk to Shulk, baby. Took me awhile to get used to him after 9 hours of Link but his Monado range is great. The only thing I dislike about him is the way his hair looks in Smash.

The Dong will always be my main, but as far as secondary characters go I wanted to play Little Mac, but I ended up playing Bowser Jr. the most. He's so much fun.

I bought the game last night. How's Robin? I just played a game against some bots and had a lot of fun

i found with shulk he has barely any short frame killing moves, a lot of his killing potential has shit range and massive after lag that is so easily punishable.

Least with Robin the only thing i really have to worry about is the durability system, but that electric sword air game so strong. also land Down B on someone always is the best feeling.

Only add Yoshi to that, I've been playing Smash since 64 and I don't remember reking shit this hard with Yoshi.

Shulk still feels better in the sense of range, and well, as you said adaptability. Plus the sheer damage output is rather staggering if you get good feel going. He isn't a brainless character and I love that.
Probably one of my favorites in the entire series.

Very offensively.

I barely use her specials because they're extremely unreliable online. Basically I only use Reflect when it's either 100% sure it'll work or perfectly safe. Counter isn't really worth it unless I'm desperate, last resort really.

But I rush opponents. Her dashing A has a lot of priority and it blocks attacks too thanks to her shield, which makes it a very good move, of course you need to be careful cause it can be punished like anything else. Up Smash isn't that good, the range is super high but it's easy to see it coming, I much prefer to jump and use her Uair, it has priority over a lot of things (Like ZSS and Sheiks down kicks) and a very good launching power, most of my K.O.s are either from this move or from a Side Smash.

Her tilts are kinda slow and long, but if you use them well they're fantastic because of how long they are. Good to edge guard or cover your ass. Up Tilt protects you well from opponents trying to jump and attack you with a down aerial for instance.

Neutral A is fantastic because it's nearly instant and has almost no recovery, very easy to catch people with it.

Also she has decent range on her grabs.

Seriously, characters like ZSS, Mac or Falcon can just bumrush you from the other side of the map before the recovery is even done.

Wanted to main Villager or Toon Link. Barely touched Villager after getting the full game. Haven't played as Toon Link much either but I'm still good with him.

So far it seems like ZSS is my main and I almost never played as her in Brawl. Shiek is up there too.

Pac-Man is just too fun to play.

I feel that I can only bust out Shulk when I'm playing versus someone significantly worse than me, when it's someone I go even with he just has too much lag on his moves that leave me open.
Love his range though and his monado arts give you a fuck ton of options to outplay, just wish he didn't have such laggy moves.
