It's fun. Online could be less laggy, Classic Mode is a gutted me as but Mustard Core is cool, All-Star is great, and I like the roster. Wish there were less transforming and scrolling staged, and. BY mode to go along with Omega.
8/10, hope the real version doesn't feel as... lame as 3DS.
Character that I wanted to play plays great
Character that I liked since S64 is great
Character that a faggot spoiled but I wanted to play as plays great
So far is great, eagerly waiting for wii u version.
ive reached the point of despair. ive won 20% of my last 30 matches. i want to git gud, but every time i think im doing better, ZSS shows up and flings me around, or a paradoxically good megaman two stocks me. im getting frustrated with the game and i dont like it.
It's fantastic, but I really would rather be playing it on Wii U.
Also the custom stuff is not really all that good. Custom moves are really cool but getting them is infuriating. Hopefully they're easier to come across on the Wii U version.
does getting two stocked mean you lose 2 lives for every 1 life they lose? or that they have 2 stock left when they win?
>try out FG 2v2
>it's actually not laggy
>me (Sonic) and Dedede vs two Little Macs
>DDD knocks one off the edge
>while he's still recovering, shieldgrab the other at 50%
>DDD charges forward smash a little at him
>this happens again exactly the same way to the first Mac (second one was thrown off the edge at a low% and was recovering)
>they both left after
I don't know who that Dedede player was but that was fun as fuck.
its a great game, I have some gripes with it, but not enough to make me stop playing.
Kinda wished it was just smash 64 with better defensive options and more characters but hey.
i still prefer melee and P:M. But this new game is pretty fun.
I loved the inclusion of Wii Fit Trainer, and not in the waifu-bait kind of sense. Duck Hunt Dog and Pac-Man are great as well.
Clones like Lucina and Dark Pit are whatever. I don't terribly mind them but I'm not crazy over them, either.
If Bowser Jr. counts as a "joke" character, I like his inclusion and how he counts for all of the koopalings, but I don't like the clown car nonsense. It doesn't seem to fit with the character(s).
It lacks the extra content you've come to expect from smash bros.
Stuffing a console game onto a 3DS is a shit idea and even though I have a lot of fun with it, I'm dropping it as soon as the wii U version comes out.
If the wii u version had come out first, i probably wouldnt have ever touched the 3DS version. Makes me feel like a sucker
You're a fag for caring about what strangers on the internet think about your character choice in a party game.
>crowd starts chanting "pikachu!" like the in-game crowd
> mfw i always thought was megaman was good and people just sucked
Lucina is just easy mode marth. Good players will still stick with marth's tippers once the nonshit version of the game comes out.
I cant say for the two shits, never played them.
Some Japanfag whooped my ass with Greninja by spamming his bullshit USmash the entire time. Needless to say he SD'd both stocks in less than a minute on the first match so I can't say I'm exactly salty...
It's good but has some bad problems. Players live too long, defensive play is king, tons of campy/spammy characters and aerial movement feels like shit.
I'm starting to actually feel frustrated just watching matches because you can tell the players can't move like they want to an account of there being so few reasonable approach options.
IMO it's going to go the way of Brawl. Once the novelty wears off and people start noticing the game's flaws, interest is going to drop off.
>Bowser is great in Smash
>Bowser Jr. introduced, also pretty good
>Bowser is great in MK8
>Koopalings on the roster too
>that new Mario Party with the Bowser mode
Was 2014 secretly the Year of Bowser?
It's fine. It's only real flaw is the hardwhere that it runs on. Id probably rate it an 8 or so, which is good, because it's the first time the series has been on a portable. Looking like the wii u one will be the definitive version now.
>wrecking everyone online with robin
>100% win record for first 20 matches
>then get some match ups with competent players, jap jigglies, etc
>win rate drops to 80%
>get fucking bodied by peach so many times from so many different players
>win rate at 60%
How to beat peach?
Wish online had more options. Wish Smash Run had online at all.
Otherwise, lots of fun.
You mean in the tournament scene, right?
Because people still play Brawl at parties and with their friends and stuff to this very day. Not everybody cares about counting frames and all that shit.
I'm loving it. Some people don't like it but hey that's fine.
I'm really digging Greninja he is pretty damn interesting and pretty difficult to grasp for someone like me who has been playing nothing but heavies for the most part.
DK is a lot more fun to play, Dedede is as well,
Pac is my nigga. Cheers guys.
I don't think Smash 4 is the new Melee whatsoever, that game feels like it's never going to fucking die for some reason, but it could definitely burgeon into a new scene.
It's a lot more exciting than anything Brawl's ever shat out.
I main the Yellow Male WFT. I like the playstyle a lot with the projectiles and the crazy tilts. Pac Man is also another really fun character to play from time to time.
not that guy but I fucking love the ground control he has just by being fast
you don't even have to do anything when you're on the ground, just the threat of getting dash attacked is enough to make them spotdodge or roll in a way that's easy to punish
The problems don't just affect competitive play. They make the game less fun in general. Even at a casual level Brawl doesn't feel that good to play, even if people do still play it for whatever reason.
To make it clear I'm not a competitive player at all and really have no stake in what game people prefer. But there is a reason that interest in Melee has endured so strongly for so long. It feels good to play at any level.
Its okay. I wish I could have contained myself on buying it
Especially since I bought it digitally so I cant sell it backthe controls are horrible and I'm losing way too many matches because of it and the game is lacking content. Which makes sense for a handeheld but doesn't make it any better.
I love the way the new characters play and I can't wait to play them on the console version.
>Play 1v1 Glory as Cap Falcon, Little Mac and Dr. Mario
>Have around 80% win rate
>Most lost games are from laggy Jap players who spams a lot of shit a la Robin, Toon Link, Rob
>Fight against a Rob that i lost one time because of lag
Yes i fucking remembered Takumi you little shit
>There's no lag this time
>2 stock him as Cap Falcon
>He tries again, i chose Megaman to mess around
>2 stock him AGAIN
>Plays again as rob againts my Dr Mario
>Lag returns, i barely lose, he inmediatly leaves
Yeah fuck gooks, it's crazy how fucking cheap they are.
Also what's the deal with people losing against Megaman in 1v1 Glory? most of the time i just fucking charge my Side A and they just stood there and take the blow, it's like they think you can save it for later and dont expect it to launch inmediatly.
First new game that I've bought in a while that I wasn't disappointed with. 9/10 game.
-Every character is unique (besides the clones) and fun to play as, even the ones you'd think are stupid
-Some lag is multiplayer, EVEN LOCAL, but not every match.
-wish you could set item frequency, whats up with that, and the trophy descriptions are stupid and don't list what game they're from
Pretty good, but it really highlights how important a couch and a TV are to multiplayer enjoyment of Smash.
This is the same reason why I laugh at people discussing online in Smash like it means anyhing
You are dumb
you are soooo dumb
>Get at least 5 kills in Melee Cruel Smash
>Get absolutely floored in this one
Loving the game so far. This roster is by far my favorite roster. The clones don't bother me much as there aren't as many as people say there is (7 clones on a roster of 53 characters isn't a lot). Unique characters are always cool and we got a lot of them. Smash Run is pretty fun unless you're doing it for Custom Moves, then it becomes a bitch. I rate this version an 8/10
>Japanese player just spams Charge shots and missiles as Samus
>Just runs back and forth across the stage
>kill 4 opponents in cs
>kill 2 opponents in cs
holy shit fuck the third challenge board
>be on edge
>jump away from edge
>spam up+b near edge
>meteor miis into the pit and dodge everything
Got 4 kills second try with this nigga.
DeDeDe is different. Not enough of a vet to say why; but the second I played him, I went directly to DK.
Bowser seems fun to. Disappointed that they did not make Rosalina a heavy like in Mario Kart. I want more heavies.
LOVE IT! The WiiU version can take its sweet time for all i care
how do get better with her?
Online is shit.
I fucking hate it. I want to enjoy the game but the online is just absolute shit.
Don't get me wrong I'll get a few matches with zero lag. But it's just unacceptable to get it in teh first place.
Fuck can't wait for this release on the Wii U. Hopefully the netcode won't be that bad.
I've played better. The stage selection is poor and the run physics are about as clunky as the last installment.
Every stage being awkward as fuck or final destination with no middle ground is the most disappointing. A stage hazard toggle in place of the FD form would be just as large on the cartridge and make a lot of stages with unique platform layouts fun to play on without getting interrupted by bosses or other huge-ass side tracks.
8/10; in more aspects it's better than Brawl than it's worse.
Dedede is different, he's better. I wanted to play Dedede in Brawl but didn't find him that effective but I think I'll keep him around for good in Smash 4. Constant Gordos is great, I'm not even mad when people hit them back.
u callin her fat?
It's really sad liking chub when the wanking material that gets put out for it is like this. That face is disgusting.
But yes, she could stand to be a medium-heavy fighter like R.O.B. or Samus.
I was almost thinking of getting it, but after playing on my friend's 3DS, there's no fucking way I'm putting up with playing on such a tiny fucking screen. How you guys do it, I don't understand. It's not as bad when it's just 1v1.
I just like the look of it. Sometimes I switch to the blue but mostly I just use yellow
He's on the list of NES-era characters who should have been in Smash before Ice Climbers.
I like him as a character, and I use him ironically.
>tfw got killed as Rosalina at 300%
---FRIENDLY REMINDER TO ALL CHARGE SHOT FAGS---
I PLAY ZELDA AND YOU GUYS MAKE THAT SHIT TOO EASY.
PLEASE STOP BEING FREE, I AM TRYING TO GET BETTER AND I AM NOT LEARNING AT ALL WHEN I CHEESE YOUR SCRUBBY ASS WITH TELEBURN.
ALSO START BAITING NAYRU'S THAT SHIT IS SO FREE ON FOR GLORY
I decided not to get it because the content seems lacking, Classic Mode apparently is like eight minutes long, and Sakurai didn't add any characters I like other than Villager, Mega Man, and Little Mac, and all my mains got removed.
I'll wait and see if the WiiU version is worth it.
Rosalina is my main. She's great in the air and her stupid dive is so much fun. Her special deals a pretty good amount of damage even when used instantly at people running across the stage. Just leave your Luma alone until you can safely call it. Otherwise you'll get smashed while calling it back.
It's pretty good, a few complaints though.
>break the targets gone
>Smash Run was a huge disappointment and isn't remotely near as good as City Trial
>stage design is lackluster, though there are a few really fun standouts
>music sucks fucking dick
>no Ice Climbers or Mewtwo or Isaac
>clones added to roster
>everything gets unlocked too fast, and in the same way aside from Wario and ROB
Much better than Brawl but I still prefer Melee and 64.
In short, it's Early Access Smash Wii U. It's insane how the game can lag during local multiplayer unless you're right next to who you're playing. My friends play in their dorm room and despite the lack of space, the game will lag if two people are on opposite sides of the room
Alot. It's the first I've really been with the series since playing melee at a friends religiously
Peach is my girl.
After that is Villager and Duck Cunt because they're so much fun. Also working on Sanic.
>get first place in smash run with every character
Aerial movement in general feels like shit in Smash 4. You are so restricted and have so few options that being in the air alone puts you at a huge disadvantage to a player on the ground.
You know it's bad when players who get knocked in the air would rather float over and grab the ledge than land on the stage or try to attack their opponent because of how unsafe being airborne is.
>doing smash run
>give him speed boosts before starting so he's not a lumbering asshole
>get to the end with relatively decent stats
>robin dies almost instantly
>kirby goes down a minute later
>villager has 1000 defense and 130 HP while I've only got 600 or so defense and 30 HP
>my face when beating him since he suicided off the stage
They're certainly smarter and faster, but like any AI they have their faults. I've especially noticed Charizard's AI going a little insane when he's trying to recover.
That said, I'm enjoying it. The AI is a huge improvement and I love it. The combat feels fluid and intense, trying to play Brawl or 64 after it would be a nightmare.
But the game modes are where it starts to fall apart.
Classic and All-Star are both underwhelming and far shorter. They should've stuck with a normal map rather than this weird "quickly choose a route" thing. No Targets/Race to the Finish in Classic is also a major let down.
Smash Run is also really disappointing. Five minutes of Sub-Space tier gameplay followed by a completely random match. Considering how much it was talked up, Sakurai really fucked up with this one. Online could've easily remedied the issue, but oh well.
Too many old stages. While they're good stages, they make the map selection feel smaller than it is.
Still too similar move sets and Final Smash attacks. I was so damn certain they would change Toon Link's set up, but nope. He could have at LEAST used the Wind Waker to summon a cyclone as the Final Smash, rather than copying regular Link.
Who is the "safest" rushdown character? I main robin and tend to win most of the time, but fuuuuuuuuuuck are the matches slow. I just whittle them down with arcthunder/thoron/elfire and then try and go for a grab or a fair with levin. Very slow and steady, but guaranteed results. I want to play a character that can just constantly rush down and not get punished easily as fuck. Marth was good at this for me before but his shit feels so nerfed and I get my dick handed to me every time.
>Pit and Dedede get refined movesets
>Ganondorf is still stuck with Falcon's moves
> I want to play a character that can just constantly rush down and not get punished easily as fuck
I foresee you playing yoshi quite a bit in the future. And regardless of what people say marth can be aggro.
Cruel Smash while still torturous doesn't have that threatening feel that the Wire Frames gave me. Not even a Melee-fag, just hate those damn Miis and their goofy fucking faces.
At least we have Little Mac.
sounds good. yeah, im having a weird time getting used to her unique place style, but im determined to crack the code.
>tfw an opponent is caught off guard by a stray Luma
am i the only one that feels like R&L play a little like a Stand user in JJBA (PS1/3)?
>GB Dream Land
>Castle Lololo starts playing
What's your most insignificant, pointless, stupid complaint about Smash?
Mine is the fact that there wasn't enough unlockable characters and that the criteria for getting them is too easy.
The starting roster is just 2big. I hope the Wii U version rectifies it.
>tfw fighting the new ZSS
Shhiiiiit, did they ever improve her! I knew she got better, but not THIS much better
HOLY SHIT IT'S FUCKING TIME:
>best neutral B?
Agreed on those. But there's no way they'll make the Wii U selection smaller. If anything it'll get bigger.
My most nit-picky complaint is the new Classic map. I either want pic related, or a normal fucking map I have full view over and can select the next level. This behind the camera choose your route shit is claustrophobic.
I do have a big complaint though. No more scores, stats, and special names for moves and awards during Classic and All-Star. Why do you rob me of this, Nintendo?
One thing that bothered me since I love reading trophy descriptions is that they don't have a little reference in the corner saying what games they appeared in. Sure, it might be obvious for some characters, but sometimes I want to know what exact game they came from, since hat's how I found out about Sin & Punishment through Saki's trophy.
Really hope the WiiU version fixes that.
>beat someone with Mega Man
>he then switches to Toon Link and tries to spam against me
Bitch, I'm the jumpingest, shootingest nigga in the game. Do you really think that shit's gonna work?
his side b is completely different, his up tilt has slowly morphed into a totally different move, his up B has different properties (shoryuken hitbox), his forward air is a totally different animation and has different properties, forward tilt is a thrust kick rather than roundhouse, he has a super strong stun single jab in lieu of a AAA combo.
I haven't checked his throws but I'd wager they're different now too. I actually wish he was like Melee Ganon, just a little heavier and a lot stronger.
>dat Ice Climbers trophy
I dunno, maybe Pacman again, or just any counter
Either Villager or Bowser Jr
Speaking of Shield Breaker
>trying to git gud as Lucina
>plan to use Shield Breaker more
>end up fighting a Jigglypuff
>like five seconds in the Shield Breaker lands
>suddenly reminded of what happens when you break Jiggly's shield
I didn't think I'd like WFT but she's become my second favorite behind DeDeDe.
I enjoy Pac, but I need to get better with him. And Duck Hunt is neat, again, need more practice.
Wish Smash Run was online
Wish For Glory wasn't FUCKING TIME INSTEAD OF STOCKS
Wish you could edit the appearance of items like in brawl.
My 3DS circle pad is starting to fuck up a bit so yeah,
I like it though
Do you guys ever feel accomplished whenever you beat a Japanese player? I always assume that they would be amazing, but I beat this guy at least 4 times and we both used
Little Mac.Maybe its because of the matchup.
>tfw stealing a win from a Jap Little Mac player when he makes a mistake and falls off the edge
I had twice the damage as him as DeDeDe and lounged at the edge as he fell to his doom. I think the best victories are the undeserved.
>tfw literally only one win in For Glory
at least I'm having fun I guess. 1 on 1 matches with stock, even with FD only and no items, is better than the timed lagfests that is For Fun.
and they said MM was shit
TAKE NOTE NAY SAYERS
I've probably logged around 20 hours now, not sure. Mine is still fine but I'm noticing it kinda looks like this. Honestly can't tell if it's just lighting, smudges or general wear from over a year of use but still. Either way, it still works perfectly fine so I'm not worried about it.
There's no denying that a majority of the character voices in Sm4sh are shit, but
who's your favorite?
>playing 1v1 as Fox
>opponent is a roulette-spamming Pac-Man
>hit by another one of those blue things he throws
>while recovering I switch it up a bit and dash right at him
>he doesn't panic enough to throw another and just rolls backwards as I drop into a reflect
>we both pause
>I take a step and reflect again
>he rolls out to the far edge and waits
>wtf is this guy doing
>now i don't even move and flash out and into the reflector
>in less than a second he pastes himself with his own projectile at 110 damage
>tfw my only For Glory wins were against someone spamming Thunder as Pikachu
Like my other games were close but I've come to realize how shit I am.
I never had anyone to play Smash against in the older games cause my brother only wanted to play if we'd play co-op so I never had a proper multiplayer Smash experience
God, all of the Charles Martinet characters sound like complete shit. What went wrong? Is it the voice direction or something? Mario sounds just like he always does in literally every other game but Smash Bros.
>that feel when you encounter someone in 1v1 for glory who's about your skill level and you have a dozen matches together
dani come back
I knew I was never good, it just feels good to actually have other people to play with. My brother only ever played with me every now and again and I think other than him I've only literally once played with other people before this in smash. Always been more of a SP guy but I fucking love fighting games (even party fighters, before somebody starts that whole argument) so.
Yeah, at least the SP parts of Smash are always awesome. I love that there's so many trophies to collect in this one.
And who knows, maybe I'll finally git gud in this one, too.
>not playing smash into the night with your true bro
>not making a 99 stock match and pounding a shot every time you die
Charge shot fag here
In seriousness though, yeah. I main Samus, and Zelda basically hard counters the age-old Charge shots and missle bombardment strategy. Pretty glad too, nice to have to think more.
>tfw Ike and you KO someone with a smash attack at 40%
80% win rate and the only thing that fucks me are people who are good at timing counters.
>all those close games
How is this not the best patch ever
If it's every game mode, it's probably on your end. 1v1 for glory is your best litmus test though, that's got the lowest chances of lag by far for obvious reasons.
Also I think I heard somewhere if you turn off spectators on your matches it'll help,.
I think online is pretty hit or miss. I can play flawless matches against my bro in Japan, but some faggot a state away lags like a motherfucker.
It's all about connection, I guess.
Lucky. All i keep running into is Mario and Little Mac. I'd kill to fight against Rosalina. I honestly haven't encountered her ONCE in the 10+ hrs i've ben playing. It's usually me that ends up choosing her
I was playing as Dorf and got the race, I knew I was fucked from the get go, but then Bowser rockets off and ends with like a quarter of a course lead on me How the fuck does this shit happen?
>these are the people who get mad at tourneyfags for wanting good and deep gameplay
Makes sense now, it also feels good that you get mad.
Like i said, instead of you fucking people gitin gud, you complain, because it's easier.
At least you try to git gud, unlike the other casual fags all over /v/ and the internet.
Olimar is the only one that stands out to me as unplayable. I really liked the guy, too.
>Fighting some dude named Lebron
>I go based Pac and he goes Little Mac
>Fire Hydrant the fuck out of his recovery and 2 stock him
My cycle of characters to play online is basically:
>Bowser Jr. (Morton for days)
>Dr. Mario (learning him, I like him a lot so far)
>Mr. Game and Watch
I also want to learn Shulk and Sonic.
Zelda player here.
KO-ing Mega Man with Nayru all day is pretty hilarious. It's like I'm playing a Capcom executive simulator.
How do you WOMBO COMBO as Mega Man? The most I've gotten is 11 hits, and I'm not really sure how.
>tfw you can track Zelda's UpB simply tapping on her profile image and marking her
what do you guys think us this? Fair? What other inorthadox mechanics are there/would you like to see in the WiiU version?
Im not sure about it myself but i do find it
hilariouswhen i can counter the opponent whenever they land for a hit
This especially pisses off my friend who has yet to catch on
>didn't do a lot of looking into who had changed
>go into For Glory 1v1
>mfw the first Yoshi I met
jesus christ he's really a super dragon now
Yeah, I like that you can have an easier time tracking characters on the 3DS screen but that's a hell of an obvious oversight that probably should have been caught during development.
It probably won't make it into the WiiU version, though.
>It probably won't make it into the WiiU version, though.
not unless you play on the gamepad.
>tfw gamepads cant be synced to other WiiUs
probably would have been baned from tourneys anyway
>not unless you play on the gamepad.
Has that been confirmed? I'm not sure why the WiiU version would even need the marker feature, since it's clearly there to compensate for the tiny 3DS screen.
Can anyone tell me which Challenge Board #3 challenges can't be broken with hammers?
I'm almost done with all of the panels across the entire thing, but I'd rather just break the panels for do 100 Man and 10 Man Smash for everyone just so I don't have to do that tedious shit.
Does anyone else just get sick of Master Core and go straight for the regular Master Hand fight everytime they do classic?
I mean yeah sure it was "epic" the first time but I'm trying to do Classic Mode with every character here I don't got time for this shit.
>forced to do the Master Core fight if you're above 7.9 intensity
I'm late but play some Falcon. You can get in their face and shit.
Plus hitting that Falcon Punch is the most satisfying feeling in the world.
can you only view replays on your 3ds or can you use the computer?
Fellow Marth players, please help! I'm getting my ass handed to me in for glory, primarily against zoners.
How the fuck do you deal with them? Marth's new micropenis sword makes it even harder to close the distance and his horrendous landing lag prevents me from safely attacking from the air.
I refuse to give up on the king and take the coward's way out with Lucina.
Here's a valid complaint: Why are there never any Yoshi and more importantly, Dong Kong Assist Trophies?
no idea but i can record just fine on my phone
>mfw fighting against a good yoshi for the first time
holy shit that up-smash range
Same reason Brawl's replay system worked like that. It would quickly take up a lot of space if they actually stored video files.
>Hanging out with friends
>They all have smash, I don't
>Ask to play a round of 4 player, they let me
>Match is super laggy despite being local online, terrible graphics and controls like shit.
Dodged a bullet there. Wii U version will be only acceptable version.
Anyone else let the master core chill for a bit?
Spooked my fucking guts out.
Mega Man's grab is the most satisfying one to get in the game. Holding them like that makes it look so disrespectful.
Wario ought to have a similar one, but that's another story.
Marth Main here
Fuck you, I wish he was played more. I've only seen one other marth online. Everyone else has hopped onto the Lucina bandwagon.
Correct list is:
>Last 50 rounds
>Literally nothing but ZSS, Sheik, Greninja or LM
I'm already sick of Little Mac players.
Not because of how good he is, I couldn't even tell you. I play For Glory 2v2 a lot, and the Mac I get paired up with constantly kills himself out of sheer stupidity.
Yeah, Do side-B when you're at the edge. THAT'LL SHOW 'EM!
>tfw I literally can only win with my main
Fuck, man. I try so diligently with other characters but I get my shit handed to me no matter who I fucking attempt that isn't my main. Time to be a 1 character only faggot it seems
I like it though for me only 1 vs 1 seems playable because I get the most lag-free matches in there.
I'm hanging at around a 75% win rate. Seems like I win most frequently with Mario and Megaman. I've crushed many Little Macs with Mario which is weird considering how many people bitch about Little Mac on here.
Was playing a sick match with a pretty sick player, finally got a chance to see how I fare online. Not too shabby still have a lot of learning to before I Get Gud.
Also big_boss1 I think that was your name, good fucking games man. Good fucking games!
>tfw I'm shit with the "OP" characters
and I'm really good with those "Shit Tier" ones
How often are you guys able to pull off using this item?
>mfw I always pick it up and toss it over the side of the stage to get rid of that nonsense.
Every generation Ness rose colored cheeks fade away
>any level Shulk AI
>they just sit there spamming parry/counter
>forced to just throw them a dozen times for a KO
>tfw final boss is the only fair stage on 9.0 runs but getting there is ass because of bullshit AI
Been playing it mostly for collecting trophies. Over 300 in 9 hours.
It's not a bad ride if one that takes getting used to since I'm overadapted to Gamecube controllers, but it has got me wondering as to whether or not I want to play the Wii U version right away. Since I'm not certain that I'd touch the 3DS version very much after I got that one.
Also, what's the best character for Trophy Run? I'm presently using DK, but am curious.
>I SEE IT
>online works pretty well for me so far
>roster is overall great
>Smash on the go is just cool
>gameplay is way more fun than Brawl without strictly catering to Melee fans
>most of the new characters are really fun/interesting/unique and fit well into the roster
>Classic is fun
>obvious roster gripes, clones, cuts, etc.
>Smash Run is so close to being great but has so many tiny things wrong with it - and also no online is a huge detriment
>Target Smash sucks compared to individual target tests
>should have been more challenges, they jump from ludicrously easy to "do ____ with every character" almost instantaneously
>coins are a bit too scarce for my taste
>Nintendo Network sucks, I wish I could add people I meet online as friends, I wish I could message people, etc.
>Unlocking characters was really anticlimactic because it was so easy and so many of them were veterans
>feels like there should have been another mode or two for solo play
>no item frequency options???
play bowser or any heavy character
the only boss stage that can kill you like below 200% is the sword and only with that one bullshit slash attack
you can also suicide to death in 1v1 against bullshit characters with dk, ganon and bowser
>try to use Little Mac and Marth online
>get my shit stuffed in
>use Mega Man, Doc, and Shulk online
>Want to complete all of the challenges without using any hammers for bragging rights
>All that's left is completing All-Star, Smash Run, 20-Man and 100-Man with every character, and then collect trophies and equipment
>It's not even hard, just grinding
Over halfway through All-Star now. Anyway I can make it less tedious? It's basically just spamming smash moves for 10 minutes.
