Don't bother, the devs cashed out and are releasing tiny updates pretty much every year now. It's been a year and bit for me and all they've added since then are flags, asteroids and basic science gameplay.

The Brazillian is the hardest worker on their team so something is clearly wrong. They also tried to remove gameplay mechanics from the game to sell as DLC in the "future" but had to reverse the decision after the outrage.

The demo is very old at this point and not representative of the current version.
It's DRM free (even the steam version) so feel free to pirate it and try it out.

One of the best levels in CoD: Ghosts was the space combat at the end. It had a really cool environment with orbital station debris everywhere, 360 degree rotation and lots of verticality with enemies floating around in various directions.
