Generations was good.
Lost World was a step in the right direction in terms of getting rid of the boost to win gameplay
SONIC BUUUM Is just unleashed's werehog sections turned into a real game.
It was a rather poor attempt at returning to the Adventure gameplay, I want to see what Sonic Team are working on since generations because they didn't develop Colours, Lost World, or BUUM
>No it wasn't. Lost World was really boring.
It was a STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
Nobody said it was good. Too many shit 3D, too much gimmicks, Horrible world design, Bad level design, Overall stupid boss character designs, Too much Mario Galaxy Inspiration, Levels were in-the-sky obstacle courses with no real "geophraphy" and tactile feeling.
Hell no, Lost world was a shit game, but The control and wall running was a neat idea and I'd like to see it REALISED and perfected than ditched so they can return to BOOST-AUTOMATICSECTION-BOOSTMORE-BOOST-BOOST-2DBOOST-BOOST MOREIN 2D- BOOST DOWN CURVY CORRIDOTS-AUTOMATED SECTIONS EVERYWHERE.
Its an easy fix, just make them boost "charges" instead of a bar that fills up like a quarter of the way with one ring. They bring you up to full speed immediately, but you only get one every 50 rings or so.
Why does Sonic need so many bandages?
I suppose you're asking about the art design because Sonic Heroes (where the original level comes from) was ridiculous and Sonic Generations was meh.
I didn't really care about Sonic wearing a scarf in Sonic Boom but after seeing gameplay videos I couldn't care less about the game itself. SEGA got totally out of touch.
I might watch the animation though.
>the sound grows dull
They need to stop doing that. They should make more boost variants for each song and have it so you can actually hear it.
Also use this guy's concept. The games could really benefit from having more dynamic music.
>all those glorious levels in 1080p and 60 fps
I finally got what consoles couldn't deliver, and it was bloody fantastic.
Nah, the originals was mostly platforming. The whole thing about going fast was you memorize the levels well enough to be able to go fast as shit without stopping.
3D boosting games aren't much different but people just seem to hate change.
have they ported the wii/ps2 versions of the day stages as well? those were good.
They're fast in like completely different ways
I do find it annoying that people are actually taking that "hold right to win" joke seriously when playing the original sonic games when they will kick your ass if you do shit like that
>Bandages on his arms
>Bandages on his shoes
So what's so special about CryEnginge 3 and why does the game have to to push it to its limits? I think it looks fine as long as it doesn't drop below Super Mario Sunshine graphics.
>tfw Nintendo Sonic fan
>enjoy some of Lost World's parkour stuff(after they updated the WiiU version) and enjoyed the GBA Sonic series.
>wanted a sequel of Sonic Battle for 3DS, Sonic Heroes RPG, and Sonic Rush 3DS
>instead got some third party tie-in made by some ex-naughty dog devs.
and fucking Dimps is busy with DBX, seroiusly Sonic Team? you did an amazing job on the handheld Sonic games and improved a little bit on the 3D sonic games (Heroes and ShTH) but you went down to this again?
I don't know if I sounded confusing I was just saying that Sonic Heroes is shit and Sonic Generations wasn't really a good game, that I didn't mind the visual redesign of the characters in Sonic Boom and that after seeing gameplay videos of Sonic Boom it seems to be absolute and pure crap. I also added in black text that I may watch the animation. The animation is the only thing that's coherent with the past Sonic story: if you look at every other kind of media outside videogames that Sonic has been in none of them makes sense with the rest (the archie sonic comics, the uk ones, the four cartoons... everything seems to exist in its own vacumm and tend to go quite far away from what is shown in the games)
Sonic Lost World looks a lot like the cancelled Sonic game for the Saturn: Sonic X-treme.
So saying it's a Galaxy rip-off isn't entirely correct.
>The animation is the only thing that's coherent with the past Sonic story
Both the cartoon and the games are they're own universe separate from the regular Sonic universe. Boom is a spinoff just like the comics and other cartoons.
>Senn: Though it’s possible someone on the Sonic Team might have been aware of Sonic X-treme, it’s clear Iizuka-san was not.
That was debunked.
i miss Dimps doing sprites
>tfw Blaze was the last character that had ever got the Sonic Advance treatment
with story I think I meant history, like, what's in the past, not some tale I am telling (be it canon or non canon).
What you said is what I was saying and that makes the Sonic Boom cartoon coherent in the context of the rest of non-videogame Sonic media: it's another cartoon that happens as if nothing Sonic in any of the canons had happened before.
