You know, as much as I love Latria, I feel like other worlds in DeS don't get as much love when they all had cool shit going for them.

Valley of Defilement feels so oppressive, and the Shrine of Storms feels so lonely and dead. I think what I love about Demon's is that every world feels so rich and unique. I love Latria, but I'm glad we didn't just get 5 2spooky areas that were all similar.

It's not really the fault of the game, it's just that most people would expect the final boss to be one of the most challenging/intense encounters, although there's a good chance that a lot of people's final boss fights would be False King, which does that nicely anyway.

The Japanese believe the Underworld and Heaven are one and the same, and they believe Demons and Gods are the same, and Holy and Infernal magic are all the same in nature, the difference is their use, which reflects in Demon's Souls where everything comes from the Old One, but humanity ascribes arbitrary "holy magic" and "evil magic" to them.
A personal note that I like is that the highest level soul art is Inferno, meaning Hellfire, and the highest level miracle is the Wrath of God, a blinding light. So in a way, all Magics are hellish in that they either use Fire or Souls, so they can be thought of as evil.

Dark Souls took the theme of fire and ran with it, but used it in its more natural state, and less as a Christian hell

DaS's plot was a bit too convoluted and DaS2 barely had a plot that could be followed. DaS2 required too much guesswork. With DeS you just had to look in the right places and the plot became very clear. Also, better atmosphere and bosses than DaS and DaS2. Everything felt more inspired and original. Not to mention how the NPCs were more memorable.

I'd disagree; Dark Souls had a much more fleshed out world. It benefits quite a bit from having the game take place in a more tightly packed area rather than warping you across some map. I think DaS2 is the worst of the 3, but I'd be disappointed if the series returned to a bunch of disjointed areas rather than having all the key characters/lore-relevant locations be in a more cohesive area.

OST really helped set a feeling that you're actually in danger and that you're shit compared to what you're fighting instead of giving you the "epic ancient battle" feeling that Dark Souls' OST invokes. The feeling was much more unique.
