I can agree with this to an extent. The camera itself wasn't the problem, it was the linear level design and the stupid doors that keep forcing you in one direction. You know in addition to the other stupid stuff like playing Where's Waldo and movement in a 3D plane being bound to the d-pad. Open the map up, make the scanning not stupid, and refine the controls i.e. a better way of using missiles and the only thing you'd have left to worry about is the writing. Which never should've been an issue since I was under the impression it was understood that the actual plot only serves as the framework for why Samus is there but for the most part it's in the background.

Other M's biggest sin was ignoring Samus' adopted Chozo family and saying that Adam was her "father figure." Old Bird, Grey Voice, and etc raised her from the age of three to around 13-14 or so. Does that not count for shit? Also Samus shares actual DNA with the Chozo.

Metroid is ruined forever. Even if they literally retcon everything about Other M, it will remain a black mark over the franchise, and Nintendo for defending it.
