I created a gift giving character with a different name than my characters and any time I saw someone helping another player, be it on in town, on the server chat or on the forums, I would send the person who helped out a gift for being helpful and nice to other players.

EVE isn't about grinding isk (like most MMOs).
it takes a lot of time and practice to "progress" in eve, training skills up, getting familiar with the PVP system and such.
isk is just a tool to accomplish your goals, replace lost ships, not get stressed out when you get blown the fuck up etc....

It's better to go out and pvp when a few mil loss per ship doesn't put a dent in your wallet, and you don't have to worry about going broke because you loose a fight.

There's this MMO I have played for years, and every few months I will go on just to fuck around for a few hours and then log off.

There's this open, any-level PvP zone called training grounds that people just chill in all day and it's the funniest thing seeing a low level come in and try to attack you or some other high level, and they do 5 damage. Always makes me laugh.

I used to get on Flyff and purposefully run around low-level areas to aggro bosses or give items to the guys either nearing or just coming out of getting a class. Last time I ran into a level 20 acrobat and gave her some level 30 set armor I never used, as well as a Bow of Accuracy +1 I had.

My experience in Guild Wars was made absolutely epic by a guy who did something similar.
Instead of items and such he gave me tips and endured my idiotic questions about the game and when I was ready for it even took me in to the guild he was an officer in.

It seems like whenever you join a server (in any game, really) there's always that guy everybody knows. It's not because he's good at the game, or because he's nice to everybody.

Buying loads of ships was a fucking nightmare because if you lost a system or were told to get out due to internal politics you had to move every last damn one of them. So buying shit shouldn't have been your priority.

I took up the habit of only ever having a PvP ship and a PvE ship. A marauder and maybe something like a HAC or Dictor. It was much better.

Trust me, man. You got it good. Should've just bought some cheap PvP ships and enjoyed learning to your heart's content. The 06-09 grind was fucking suffering. When you saw battleships fielded you knew something BIG was going down. Now you get enough to build a BS in a couple of days as a fresh account. It's sad.

This equated to more or less 110 million an hour. If I went solid for 9 hours I would make one billion isk. Yet you make perhaps 1.5b~ in a few hours, 3-4.

Do guilds for people who are good at video games exist?
I like to do endgame stuff, but I'm sick of all these tryhard raid schedule guilds that take an eternity to learn fights. I mean am I crazy or are MMOs really fucking easy? Why do retards treat raiding like a job that you have to fucking schedule twice a week when it's just dungeon with more people.
