Old School Runescape is a great game to play to blow away some time, but the problem is after your first few weeks or so of playing your skills start to reach level 50+. After this point trying to level a skill in the most efficient way possible can take hours of doing the same fucking thing over and over again, possible even longer for particular skills. It feels like a job than a game. It was fun when I could waste days playing RS, but now that I am a big boy I just can't stand devoting so much time to grinding.

How long ago was that Dave-ran 07scape server? I was the first person to legitimately get 99 fishing –besides that idiot moderator who had several months headstart. He actually tried to ban me on several occasions just because I very rarely spoke.

I realise that the 07scape server had 1.5x experience, but the same amount of effort in real RS still would have left me in the mid-nineties. I actually resubscribed in June after I realized I had nothing to do in the summer holiday

I expected to play it for a week then get bored, but I'm still playing and having fun. Finished 99 slayer last week. The only gripe I have with that is that I did from 70 to 92 slayer in like 350 tasks before EoC, then I went 92 to 99 now in like 100 tasks. And tasks are around three times as fast now too, so slayer is very devalued and most of the time I spent to 92 was wasted.

In place of the GE they should tailor a new system, maybe put in an entirely new interface similar if not the same as the zybez marketplace. The difference is players are still communicating and advertising and prices aren't as dictated, you can still get a steal on zybez from people trying to get a quick sale or are bulk selling.
