It does, if this is your first time playing it, don't expect to get every single part. You'll likely end up with anywhere from 20-25 your first playthrough. It's really all about Pikmin and time management.

It's been awhile since I've played Pikmin seeing as how I don't own a Wii U, but I always split my Pikmin up. I brought some back to the Onion to grow more Pikmin, I had others carryinng parts, I only took certain colors with me into certain areas.

Sometimes I would just designate a certain color of Pikmin to be on nothing but grow duty while the rest of them did things, and I would switch it out as the days changed, to keep optimal amount of Pikmin equal between them all.

It takes some time to get used to managing pikmin, learning how to fight enemies, and organizing time during the day.

Just get used to constantly planning out your days on the map, try to aim for 1-2 parts a day.

Use the C-stick (or d-pad on Wii).

The bright side is that pikmin 2 has no time limit.

Those are Puffyhogs. Because your pikmin are at a high risk to be blown in water, try to take them out with only blue pikmin. They can't directly hurt you otherwise and enough pikmin can drag them to the ground.

Beaten it in 15 days at the age seven, you just gotta keep getting at least 1 part per day and try your best to get 2 - 3 parts per day.

OP, here's my advice:
Get as many ship parts as you can
In the first area you can reproduce many pikmin
The final boss takes an entire day

Gain more pikmin by matching pikmin color to pellet color
Understand the C-Stick control, if you're playing with gc controller
Depending on what day you get to the watery area, there will be a secret enemy egg there

I never had the camera problem but I agree 3 is far easier.
I'm going into the Forest Navel for the first time in this playthrough.
I despise this place. The obligatory water level is always stressful as fuck (the Distant Spring and Tropical Wilds)
The water area in 3 is a cakewalk in comparison/

If you end a day without getting at least one part just restart it, unless you are spending the day opening paths or breeding pikmin.

Are you playing the wii or GC version? even if people say otherwise, the wii version has better controls, especially for things like shooting pikmin while moving.

Pikmin 1 is kinda harsh. Once you learn how to complete puzzles and memorize the locations of the things the only real answer on how to get better is to "git gud". Educate yourself on how to fight each boss and monster, if you're losing a ridiculous amount of pikmin to a single guy then chances are you're either doing it wrong or you haven't figured out the most optimal way to handle him.

You only need 25/30 specific parts to get a okay end, and all 30 to get a good end.

The last boss is brutal. He ended up killing all my pikmin except 3.

When you learn where the parts are and how to get to them and such you will be able to clear out al evel and collect a few in the day or set it up so you get like 3 or 4 parts over a 2 day thing,

on day 3 i go back to level 1 with my red pikmin because the first level is the best for stocking up, and then when i unlock the other pikmin i go back and dedicate a day to them aswell.

Also you dont need to get all 30 parts some of them are optional
